  2. mine is at serangoon north. 4NG. also in original condition. i spent about $38k to redo the whole house.
  3. hihi i'm not sure. the price of the gate was lumped together with my main door.
  4. Haha no la..no $$ but its actually a simple system. I think a forum member ment0s is using it.
  5. no leh..never had one..not even for my previous flat
  6. i got the gate through my contractor but i believe the supplier is: XIANG JIN IRON & ALUMINIUM WORKS PTE LTD Tel: 67557677 There are other suppliers who carry this design too. one other one is: Metal World Blk 3013 #02-2142 Bedok Industrial Park E Singapore 489979 Tel: 6446 6188 Email: enquiries@metalworld.com.sg
  7. oh wait..hang on...i recalled where i saw one other ladder! check this out: http://www.cb2.com/ladder/s297545 i'm not that old after all
  8. Hi i got it from oddyssey @ $180. that's the only one they have. i've came across ladders in other colors at other shops..but sorry i can't recall where i saw them now. old already so my memory is failing me.
  9. to minimise wire mess, maybe you'll like to consider the eubiq system
  10. Cheap looking furniture can look wonderfully gorgeous if u know how to work your magic on them
  11. Haha! I think the wooden furniture at commune is fine. But take note their furniture are fabricated overseas so delivery may not be as fast.I'm just unlucky la!
  12. hi vanessa they have 2 pop up stores: Star Living @ Labrador Branch : 1 Pasir Panjang Road Mondi Infinity : 2 Jurong East St. 21, #03-25 IMM Bldg not sure about the prices as i never got the chance to visit them. but i was told the designer was from Air.
  13. yes, even after applying sealant. my flooring has a good amount of stains already
  14. i really don't know. they are checking with the factory at Indonesia. sigh.
  15. HAHA! makan! i knew you will love these! will drop you a PM.
  16. saw some really lovely vintage furniture pics on the rocking chair's FB page...very very tempting but i'm so broke already. so can only see, but can't buy & will share some of the photos here: totally in love with this coffee table! but don't know where to place this in the house
  17. hi makan not a significant increase. about $4,000 more these are the extra items: - full height bookcase (open + closed shelving) - upgrade kitchen tiles to cement tiles (originally it was $3.80psf. i think the cement tiles with sealant cost about $9psf - $10psf? - add/replace 4x door frames - build hollow block in bathroom - add door closer - upgrade 1 x veneer door to nyatoh door - change from half glass to full glass door despite alan's lack of coordination & delays, i must add in a good word for him: he is an honest guy. there's really no hidden cost in his quote & he has billed me as it is. and i believe he has given me some discounts. his prices are really competitive. all the other contractors/IDs quoted me $45 - $55k. There's a saying that goes: you pay peanuts, you get peanuts. quality of the renovation works carried out by alan's workers is definitely not compromised - not saying is perfect but it's good for that kind of price i'm paying. the only downside is, as i repeat, his lack of coordination, delays & forgetfulness.
  18. my contractor sent me the bill 2 months after i shifted in. i'm glad the final amount is within my budget at less than $40k! next up: housewarming in 2 weeks!
  19. ya cement is porous. that's why there are so many stains on my cement tiles now
