Guys, i am one of the Singapore Low Floor Club. One that i realise is the excessive humidity in the environment and it will cause fungus outbreak. The last thing i wanna see is mushrooms growing at my place. Is there any advices to solve this problem. ?

I think HDB should give us some spare tiles FOC de hor. I looked at my layout plan measurement, every rooms is smaller than what was given by 10mm. Every room confirm makan us a bit of surface area de. I dun mind being makan or whatsoever, be it luck or expansion / contraction due to weather, but i feel that they should give us some spare tiles afterall. I would appreciate even if the small tiles are wrapped up and present to me as housewarming gift. At least i will set my mind at ease for the next 5 years.

Erm.. Ah Jane, since u had plan to go to the extend to hack away your uneven old tiles and do cement screed, i suggest u dun do laminate flooring. Coz its defeat the purpose of not overlaying, maybe you can parquet flooring with matt finish lor.

I totally agreed that laminate flooring grading play a big part. My contractor provided me with 10 years warranty, Wooo Hooo~. There was once i called them up because there is a hairline defectment due to thermal expansion or whatever i believe and i called them 1 1/2year after my installation. They take out the pieces and the door skirting to reinstall for me.

Lets count cents. I am quite puzzled when some ID Firm Registered themselve as PTE LTD and some registered as business firm. So its quite hard for consumers like us to "TI KAM" and choose builder at the right place at the right time. There are so many ID companies to choose from when comes to renovation. *Headache*. I was thinking maybe PTE LTD or whatever biz registered firm may have a differ in terms of their service and quality. Do They ? So which is better ?

It depend on your luck when comes to choosing contractor... A bad but hardworking contractor - You said "Can you help me hack away that wall to make my living room more spacial?" Contractor replied " Yes ,My lord" He get it done immediately and next thing u know is ur dream home had been charged by developer for hacking down the pillar.. $$$ gone. A good and honest contractor - You said " Can you help me hack away that wall to make my living room more spacial? " Contractor replied " I would definitely be at ur service but that wall is a pillar, it can still be done if u insist." Got work , $$$ comes. A good ID - You said " Can you help me hack away that wall to make my living room more spacial? " ID replied " Please don't, it is a pillar and moreover the wall act as a partition for your study room and the living room. Look at the space planning i had done for u." Let the ID coordinate.
