Did you consider putting the table outside the kitchen so that it won't be so hot? My mom's old house layout is the same and it's really hot after she cooks and we have to eat in the heat... just 2 cents worth of my comments

Sorry I don't have a breakdown... maybe because i did the normal day & night curtains (full length) for the whole house. So i didn't do roller or roman blinds as I'm afraid that the pully mechanism will spoil easily and roman blinds are more expensive & difficult to maintain too. My living curtains are $26psf (i think) and is from europe. The rest of the night curtains are from Korea so it's cheaper. My day curtains also simple and cheap ones. Total cost $1750, including installation, track and hooks. The guy also very nice... he told me he ran out of stock of the original day curtains so let brought down other sample for me to choose which cost slightly more but looks nicer hee hee sigh i'm sssooooo happy with my beautiful home! Darren's workers rushed to complete some minor works on friday night til 9pm+ (hope neighbours never complain..) and finished cleaning today! Then he brought 2 couples to see my home and I bumped into the 2nd couple while I was bringing my barang barang to the house... extremely happy that my home is good enough for people to see Monday is delivery of furniture and Tue is moving in day! Curtains arriving either on Tue/ Wed Only sian thing is that my Lorenzo sofa is delayed til mid Feb due to constraint in time.. but they're giving us a temporary sofa first so i guess it's still alright. I'll put up pictures of my home soon.. so stay tune for the before and after pictures! ps: I'm really enjoying looking at my home! It's really dream come true

I think the wood design is more lasting and pleasing to the eye. Personally I feel that the red & black theme gives people the impression the design is from 2008 design trend

My Ariston oven woopeee! Rinnai Hood & Hob: Ugly blue window film removed, new grills added, walls painted, windows cleaned and the morning sun rays... A bright and spacious kitchen: Living room walls plastered and painted... lovely! Left side of the living room with the false wall up to level up the wall.. balcony looking bright! My new kitchen toilet bi-fold door: And the carpentry work has started! Notice my white sliding doors? I have 4 panels of it! vents above the door is boxed up and on the right, pipes are also boxed up

Shoe cabinet with brown tinted mirrors: (laminate change to brown leather) MBR 6 door casement wardrobe and creation of a false wall to mount TV (no $$ put wallpaper liao..): Changed the laminate to a rose metallic colour laminate and with tinted mirrors. My favourite part of the house... my KITCHEN! Right side of kitchen: Left side of kitchen: - Glass door with wooden laminate change to silver metallic white colour instead of black: - dark color laminate on bottom cabinets and light coloured ones on top. Laminates are from Formica as it's better quality than Jennings and EDL due to thicker material and more natural looking grains.

It's been a long time since I last updated my blog due to extremely busy schedules and fun in rushing to select all my materials. Some lights have been reselected at Lumiere and i lurv my new living room light which is 1m x 1m.. sorry forgot to take photos. I've also chosen all the laminates for my home, selected the solid veneer door, PD door for MBR toilet and now capentry has started to be fitted today. Went shopping around for our dining table yesterday as the electrician need to know where to position our dining light... went to Harvey Norman @ Millenia walk and liked a yellow marble table but it's so heavy so we can't move the table in/out when we have more visitors.. In the end we went to Furniture mall @ Beach road (again), went up to the 3rd floor (which we never go before), fell in love with this table & chair and just bought it on the spot! It's a black tempered glass with stainless steel legs. Hmm just imagine this is black PU leather with stainless steel legs .. one of our most modern looking furniture in the house. We lurrvv the white chairs but too difficult to maintain sigghh...

i wanted the green kitchen aid...but only the pink one has so many freebies! The bowl costs $95 and they give it free with the pink kitchen aid so i grab it!

My simple basin and tape in common toilet: Joven 35L storage heater: Caroma WC in MBR toilet: New wrought iron gate! My pink kitchenAid! Birthday present from hubby.. heee comes with a free bowl, matching pink spatula and 2 free baking classes! I also bought the Ariston FZ 62C.IX oven and got free utensil set and a Willow pack (whatever this is...???)
