ya its so awful and even smells like a public toilet .. the gate is nice but i have to change it too becos, if it is closed people from outside cant get in without a key as there is no lever to it.. maybe its the fashion for wood backing 15 years ago? anyway they like to conceal all the wiring and aircon piping... now i have a prob...i dont know how they are going to remove the piping in the false ceiling that we are keeping.. i guess it will just have to stay in there until i do a revamp of the ceiling then... I am going to cut the centre part of the ceiling and create an L box ....we will put fan in the centre of the room...

yes i am getting rid of everything...tooo colourful... and i find the toilet tooo dark..and disgusting.. we are keeping the balcony window as it is still ok..just need to clean the white parts as it has stained a bit.. the toilet is ceramic flooring ...not granite... u noe wat when my hubby came to view...he did not even go into the toilet..too disgusted..

yes I have started.. we signed with STrategic on the 8th of October but reno only started on the 20th Oct. So far kitchen and toilets are being redone after hacking of all the things.

Hi, everyone.. After failing in the ballot for the new Bedok flats, we started searching for Resale flats instead. I just bought a 5I room flat at Pasir Ris near Mrt area for about $440000. Valued at $425k and cash $15k. It is 128sqm big. It is a corner unit and unblocked. Signed OTP on the 17th June 2008. 1st appt on the 5th August 2008. Got my keys on the 3rd October 2008. the id that i asked to view did not turn up.. and didnt sms me until i sms him..he replied that he had some family problem and would like to view another day.. already it took us about 3 weeks to arrange for viewing..he doesnt know how difficult it is .. so dat id i dropped from my shortlist..

Went for a consult with them and awaiting quotation.. would like to know if anyone used them before..

Good idea..will show them videos and photos of the house.. I am afraid the seller might not agree to it..already it took so long for us to get a viewing..so i tot i wanna save time by bringing them together..but i guess it not a good idea. ok i decide to bring only one ID...and show the rest pictures.. I will be viewing my house with a shortlisted ID.. what do we need to look out for while viewing.. Should we decide based on his reaction and recommendation to the house.. This Id said he will let me view his other projects but have not done so until now..dat makes me question whether he actually have any projects.. i am a little pressed for time and i just decided to shortlist the best three.. -..quite persistent but not pushy ..hes not an ID..just project manager. *... have lots of free gifts but id looks relatively young and inexperienced Strategic..like the ID but dont like the price they quoted.. very stressed leh..trying to get an id..sooo afraid its gonna be a wrong choice..

I have two more weeks until my 2nd appointment and I am a bit hurried for time. The sellers are always not in singapore and will only be around end of the week. I can't afford to bring each ID I shortlisted at different times before I get my keys but I would like to hear their perspective of the flat before I decide on either of them. Is it appropriate to bring all 3 IDs at the same time to view the house with us? Do you think they would mind each other's presence? Anyone has done this kind of thing before?

hi who is ur Id.. was thinking of engaging william from strategic..however waiting for the quotation from them. i also think that their tiles are limited in choices as many are of low stock or no stock..

i think tv liscence also the owner pay la.. the tenants just pay the scv and pub and telephone bills..

as a seller the hdb people just came, look around a bit and then ask me if i have permit for the renovation done by the previous owner.. i said no and he said he will check for me the permit and since i bought without doing any renovation, it should be fine.. then he gave me a checklist to bring to the first appointment.. thats all..

well i stay very near mrt track and it can be quite noisy when the train go past ..when we just moved it it was unbearable..but after a while u get used to it ... u can even gauge the timing .. good as an alarm clock in the initial months but after a while u just sleep thru it..hehe

A good agent ...well usually i just go by word of mouth thru recommendations of people who have used them before.. an experienced one would be much better as they might make less mistakes during ur paperwork.. when i bought my house i got no choice but to use the agent showing me the house.. when i sell, i used my friend who is an agent too..so i get to pay less commision to her.. friend friend can get discount.. however, she did not advertise for me or pay for my valuation report.. i did all my self..just needed her for the paperwork..otherwise the buyer agent wants u to pay them if u are not represented by any agent..

As this company does not have the Renovate first and pay later.. we decided to give them a miss but they were nice enough to come down to meet us. However we declined becos of that.

If you have enough cpf money to pay fot the downpayment of the new house. i would suggest u buy first as you would need at least a month to do renovation and in this way u still have a place to stay. If not you should do a contra.. if u want my friend has an agent which is reliable who helped her to do her selling and buying. start looking for houses first as this would usually take a few weeks to a few months. Once you have decided, do a valuation of your own home and put it up for sale immediately. contra is to use the money from the sale of ur house to pay for the new house

I think you should source for quotes at other id or contractors ..with 40 k they can do a lot more than that.. i believe..then once u have the lowest quote go to other id to get lower price..or more free items

About the water heater using batteries..for those who use it..how often do u have to change the batteries...
