I am thinking of getting my capenter to quote me a frosted glass to put over it so that to protect the table. thk u thk u.. i like those hidden and conceal stuff but too bad.. not enough budget to do more

after much tussle with Courts... they refunded our dining set and will be collecting it back on tomorrow. (pretty fast to collect but yet SLOW for a re delivery) meanwhile, WTB and I scrambled around today to hunt for our dining set. in the end, we bought a 1.8m dining table and 6 chairs from Barang barang. made use of their 40% + 5% discount but still have to pay abt $1300 Colombus Dining Table Ness Dining Chair another update: the C.S. Solingen-Exclusive-Knife Block Set that I bought from Mayer.. realised that the base is very wobbly when i took it out from the box. I went to their outlet in CWP and was being told that I have to go down all the way to their warehouse in Changi north for the exchange. I was like.. WTH?! ain't u mayer as well, can't u do the exchange on the spot? but i was refused firmly on the spot. moreover, I need to seek lots of exception over their customer hotline to get the exchange as they claim that they do not have warranty on such items. their CS manager only allowed the exchange when I shared with them that it's very dangerous for users if they are going to be responsible when the base collapse. DO NOTE to fellow forumers who are keen to buy this set: the new sets that they took out from the warehouse all seems to have the same problem. in the end, have to change to a lower end set (no refund on the balance $$ ) BUT HENG ah never resell it else it would not be very nice if someone else have to go through all this trouble. change to the galaxy set in the end, the knives are lighter in weight which I don't really like. i am used to heavier knives as I used to work in hotel and resturant kitchens before to comfort myself, I feel that the knife base is nicer in design lor..

ai yo... that's not cool.. on the side note, try to think of a way to stick on the wireless doorbell button permanently. mine was stolen in less than a week also, if u need some plaster of paris to patch up the holes.. i have some to spare if u want.

IMHO guys usually go for PS3 as it can playback blu-ray movie and offers awesome graphic play gals would prefer wii as it have those more family fun and interactive games. very good for staying in entertainment SO - GET BOTH!!

Courts.. thk u too! 40k before painting. **** heart pain.. $80 per ft run, but due to the laminates for the dark wood and metallic kitchen cabinents that I chose.. i top up abit more on the lump sum. my wife always complain that I have expensive taste

latest update from Courts: "we can only deliver the correct sofa on 18 Dec... and that's the earliest we can deliver" wondering if anyone has the email of courts mgmt that i can feedback to.. search high and low on their website but couldn't find. end of rant in Courts... haha back to my reno process: close up look on the laminate that I chose for the wood color Living Room Feature Wall Living Room Long Seatee cum Storage for DVDs,etc etc Side table conceal drawer Closed Mode Push to open! I flipped over my gas hob "cap" and I saw Delizia branding there. u got a good buy - Mayer list the RRP price at $619! Gonna put these on the empty spaces... And a dish rack + spice rack. YAY! let me guess.. iKea Asker series? I got and installed this in my kitchen too! on the side note, get your contractor to help u installed... quite a fair bit of wall drilling. hehe

was sharing the above encounters with one of my good friend earlier.. guess what, she also had quite a "good" experience with Courts. when her fridge from Courts arrived (also 2 hours late), she wanted to put protective sheet on top on her flooring - hers is paquet flooring.. the uncle say "aiyo.. no need la, so troublesome". they just push the fridge on their TROLLEY all the way to the kitchen. the next thing she know, she has two deep lines caused by the trolley wheels throughout the passage from main door to the kitchen... the fridge also arrived with 1 big scratch.. after weeks ding-donging between Courts and Fridge manufacterer (LG), LG at first wanted to change just the door but they finally agreed to change the fridge and Courts?! $200 to compensate on the parquet flooring. wah liew.. should I have know this experience, shd have avoided Courts. in fact, their price is among the highest (if not, the highest) among the big electrical stores.

thks for ur adv, wouldn't want to flood your nice nice concepts with my humble setup .. hehe have a look on mine post - #68? http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...16952&st=40 basically, I converted my long seatee in the living room to have dual-purpose - one for seating, 2nd for cabinents. i choose dark brown and off white colors for my Living Room, kitchen is Grey and stainless steel colors. sorry ah - my contractor is those traditional type, no nice nice 3D drawings de. will try to take some photos and upload the completed carpentary works within the next few days.

Oops! realised it's been a while that I had update this blog... still going tru some final touch ups. will post some pix soon. haha.. some of the deliveries on our purchases was scheduled over the weekend. experiences with Courts, HN and Sony as follows 1.) Courts - hasn't been too smooth. i.) Dining table came with a fair bit of knick and knocks, initially claim it's normal to have such damages. but when i mentioned that there are too much to be acceptable, the delivery guy say will get Courts QC manager to come down inspect ii.) Their warehouse had been very very persistent to push for a reschedule the delivery for our sofa. called us a few times and in the end, we managed to set aside the time to accomondate their delivery. yet they were late for 2 hours.. and the best part is they delivered the wrong color! called Courts on the spot - claimed will check and call us back, never did... seems like this is the last time we gg to buy things from Court. 2.) HN impressed us with their efforts on the fridge delivery. i.) arrived very prompty ii.) when they realised that our protective sheet can only cover 1/3 of the entire passage to the kitchen, the two delivery guys lift up and hand carry it all the way to the kitchen. and to think the fridge is really heavy, kudos to HN! 3.) Sony installation of our LCD - thumbs up too i.) I mounted my old LCD Bravia in our MBR. just to play safe, so I kindly ask them if I have done it correctly. checked for us without any hesitation and they even say - ai ya.. you should have put it aside and let us mount for you ma. ii.) prior to their arrival, I fixed up my home theater, PS3 and Wii with cables to standby the LCD connection. also say - you should have wait for us ma, we can help you to connect everything.
