some advises needed. PART 1 wat is the usual depth of the kitchen cabinet? my ID is proposing 23inch (58cm+) for the suspended side and (24inch/61cm-column depth) for the full height cabinet used to hide the water pipes. he's asking me if i want 61cm depth for the island which is next to the full height cabinet used to hide the water pipes, which i find abit too small for an island. so i m thinking of making the island depth 75cm, extending inwards into the kitchen space. is this feasible? or should i juz leave the island depth to be 61cm, aligning it with the column+full height cabinet? or wat is the usual depth of an island? PART 2 just realise the mbr bathroom is not as big as we imagine it out to be. it's abt 2.2m in length excluding the 2 walls. my ID is suggesting my shower area with shower screen to be 75cm, vanity top 75cm, the remaining to be the toilet bowl. cos he is afraid the leg space for the wc will be cramp. is 75cm width for showering too cramp? ideas pls. thanx

i tot black pendant on rectangle table oso nice? let me go find one. i remember somewhere got red wall with black chandlier. very nice oso.

nonono. i m not using this for the whole toilet, not even one piece of wall. juz one row of these tiles. too costly even if i were to use it only for one piece of the toilet wall... 11bucks/psf ya lo. finally started. i went to chelsea lightings to find the lights. erms. y does everyone like de 3 dangling lights? i find them not so impact leh. anyway voting count update: 3 dangling lights - 5+1 black pendant - 2+1 red pendant - 0
-
erms... but i tot black on red will stand out? hehe. so u changed ur vote to dangling? anyway it's now dangling light: 4 + 1(hubby) black pendant: 2 + 1(me) red pendant: 0 hehe. there is no feature wall wor. juz a wall painted red. no money to do so many feature wall. very costly leh de area i dunno considered big or not. 3.2m X 2.6m? de black pendant light is abt 0.5-07m? hehe. nv measure actually

erms.. i'm oso at a lost. all de lights i like 3 dangling light: can set all to diff length, n it's longer black pendant light: unique, but length is short red pendant light: common, but like de design (might take black version instead, since de wall ard dining area is red+white, with kitchen oso red+white) so troublesome but i might go for the black pendant light. cos 1 of my wall at dining area is red, so the light shuld suit there pretty well? VOTES Now: dangling light - 1 + 1(hubby) black pendant - 2 + 1(me) red pendant - 1

hehe. i oso dunno. but i think is de dust all ard. super dusty de whole house now. hubby going down tml to speak to de ID. everything shuld be completely hacked by than. so we'll c if there is any new pics to update. else, will juz have to wait till sat when i drop by the flat to monitor the progress, since my ID wil be out of town dis wkend yeah. the tiles were taken from the tiles shop a fw weeks back. took so many pics. finally shortlisted to these 2 alright. so currently 2 votes for the big round lights. but anyway my dining table is rectangular n de reason y i hesitating to get this light is becos, de light can only drop by 0.8m n my ceiling is close to 2.9m, so abit worried it'll be a little short. wonder how low will my false ceiling at that area be..
-
erms. can't remember the exact cost leh. i think is 130 or something like tat. haven paid u c. but i have it written somewhere at home. let me check it out first. yeah. so excited when i c the hacking
-
yeah!! hacking started today!! dey were still clearing the debris when i reached abt 7pm. anyway, let the pics do the talking taken from main door looking into the living room: turning right from the main door looking into the walkway to the room: living room overlooking into kitchen & dining area (hacked of the wall here to do open-concept kitchen - de unhacked part is a column ) from the dining area, overlooking into the study room (hacked of wall here to do glass panel) mbr looking into storeroom (hacked of wall here to do wiw ) mbr bathroom still not hacked completely: lastly, de destruction uncleared: the combined mbr+storeroom (original bedroom entrance on the left, storeroom entrance on the right) some other photos of the tiles to share with all of u mbr bathroom tiles (mostly the black one. the white ones are more like deco tiles) from LSH: common bathroom deco tiles - mirror liked (the rest are black tiles too, simple one though) oso went shopping for lights 2wks ago, but was lazy to upload the pics. mostly using plc for most areas, except for kitchen+toilet lights which i m too lazy to take pics of. study room light: shortlisted 3dining lights. not sure which to get yet: any suggestions?

yup. i saw tat deal. actually not exactly a very good deal. during the previous IT show in aug, i went down n saw this model going for 2399 at harvey norman, comes with free 400bucks isetan voucher, hdmi cable n wall mount + installation. n tat was when sony's newest model is x series. but now that the z series is out, i believe in this nov's IT show, dis model's price will definitely drop lower. so i'll juz wait n c as i olways believe u olways get the best deal during IT show
