i oso dunno leh. but my tat panel will be divided into 2 piece, side by side. but let's say someone use a glass 2.5m in width, 1m in height. will tat be safer than installing a 2.5m in height, 1m in width panel?
-
actually these 2 are same thing: Install 10mm thick tempered frosted glass swing door to bedroom 3 entrance, c/w lockset ($530) and Install 10mm thick tempered glass door at master bathroom entrance (frosted design), c/w lockset ($660) i oso ask my ID why he charge diff price for it. he say he will revise the quote. both was actualy quoted based on 12mm, but now change to 10mm, dunno y no decrease in price. have also told him abt it liao. btw, anyone know if there is any difference in price and how much btw a normal tempered glass door n a frosted tempered glass door? btw, i previously asked to quote for 12mm glass for all glass. but ID ask to change back to 10mm cos, he say 12mm use diff hinges n will add up to high cost or something. but i m afraid the full glass panel full-htX2.3m is abit fragile?

i m hacking one whole piece of wall for my bedroom, have asked my ID to do 12mm thick wall full height for de entrance, with a 12mm thick frosted door nxt to it. somehow my ID give me some advise n ask me take 10mm instead, saying 12mm is too heavy, easier to spoil. dun really understand what he's saying. isit better to go for 10mm or 12mm? any advise? currently asking my ID to explain y go for 10mm via email so i can ask for more advise. but in de mean time, pls advise

haha, my exp was bad, but not so bad. as my brother was buying furniture for his hm n required delivery asap, cos moving in, den cannot be move in to empty hm. so before we place deposit, dey say delivery can be made within 2wks. but few days later, dey called n say can only deliver 2mths later -_-" created some hoo-haa, dey decided to loan us replacement set of items, den when dey deliver my brother's furniture, dey take back their replacement items. so exp wasn't so bad, though not exactly good =)

everyone ask me why i hack the storeroom. but i really find the position of storeroom so nice to hack n create my walk-in wardrobe. so de final decision to let it go. our initial budget for de whole reno is 50k inclusive of furniture n electronic items. now have to up it to 60k lo. so got to keep all other electronic items like fridge+washing machine+hob+cooker+oven+tv+sofa+dining table+any other things to lower cost.

btw, can u all teach me what i need to do now? cos after getting quotes from this ID, i m now awaiting quotes from a few other ID. but i m pretty sure this is one of the few shortlisted ones i will go to. cos i m only getting quotes from 2 other ID. what's the nxt move i have to do? wait for the other quotes to get in? den negotiate with the ID for a better deal? or what? can i go down n request for ideas like what they want to do for my home before i decide whether to sign up with him? cos i feel unsafe signing up before i even know what they are going to do with my house. ADvise pls?
