so many things happen the last wk. 1) hdb rejected our reno application indicating that the wall we are trying to hack is a column 2) collect keys from hdb on 03.10.08 3) go to red apple to confirm furniture and arrange delivery on early dec 4) bought mitsubishi sys 3 non-inverter r410 gas aircon from gain city 5) went with ID to site to hack down the kitchen cabinet 6) verified that it is really a column even though it's not indicated on the floorplan bought from hdb 7) settled n finalised tiles after realising the tiles that we have previously selected is prone to scratches 8) drop by chelsea lighting and shortlisted the lights that we are interested in 9) ID submitted the new reno application permit indicating the walls to hack again, excluding the column now practically waiting for hdb to approve the reno application n we can start hacking!! let's all pray that i can start reno soon

still i think u r getting alot lesser lights than me. my breakdown is: 02 X bathroom lights - 75X2=150 01 X kitchen lights - 110 02 X bedroom lights - 110X2=220 01 X dining - either getting 190 or 330 one 20 X 2X13 plc lights - 23X20=460 (8living, 4dining, 3foyer, 3mbr, 2wiw) 01 X tracklights - 130 10 x t5 lights - 25X10=250 (based on 4ft - 2mbr bathroom, 2kitchen, 2mbr, 4living room console) total cost me either 1510 or 1650 depending on which light i getting for dining area.

haha. so i tell my parents they are not allowed to c my hm until i finish reno. by than too late liao? anyway got red la. dun think will have so much naggin ba

haha. ya. stainless steel top more like commercial kitchen, n since u r a chef, i guess it suits u. dun care wat ur id think. u live in the house. more impt the things are done to wat u like.

oo. realise cos u din buy toilet/kitchen lights n i have alot of plc downlights + t5 lights which make my cost so much higher

oo. mine is oso resale. i think shuld be no aircon ledge, cos old one. but no prob la. cos i changing all de windows ma. n de compressor shuld be placed outside mbr de window. n bedrooms i installing sliding windows. only dining, living n kitchen i install casement window =p

haha. i think design is very individual. juz like u dun like black for kitchen, i like it. but i dun like black with wooden laminate. i think it looks wierd =x but well, u r de owner, so u must like it

hey. can do a breakdown on ur lights, like which light how much etc? cos after visiting the lighting shop, wow. realise i m spending like 1.6k on lights when i not buying much fancy light. probably only 1 for my dining area. wonder how u keep to 1.6k when u got so many fancy lights. de 1.6k inclusive of downlights n t5, t8 lights?

dun worry. i was oso like u. my first appt was in end aug, but i started my ID search way back to early july, n finally settled for one in mid jul. from then on, we started communicating our design for the house, i got ample time to come up with de 3d drawings that i m satisfied with. now's i've finally gotten my keys after my 2nd appt. juz waiting for my ID to get to hdb on de permit, cos there were some mistakes on de floorplan, n de wall i wanted to hack is actually a rc column, so now after checking that it's a rc column, we are making some changes to de wall we r going to hack n let hdb approve de reno permit. estimated to start wk end of this wk

i'm oso using renozone. but i'm using colin, who's also de boss. i've only paid him a 1.5k deposit, but he's helping me settle all de stuffs with hdb. n i must say, hdb is giving me alot of problems
