  1. Thanks yoko! reason being fast is that i need to move in by 3Aug even if reno is not completed yet (ie: kitchen cabinet and wardrobe). My lease with my current flat will expire 4Aug. My ID assured me that it will be in a move in condition. Probably after lunch, PM me your contact so I can let you know the timing. My ID said that the floor (tiles) are now covered with papers to protect it from people walking and renovation works. So I am not sure if I am able to show it. Anyway, my ID was really good. They even have an offer of free hood and hob (Hobz brand) if your reno cost is $20K, free sys 3 aircon for $30K. PM me if you're interested.
  2. yes it's true, gain city sales rep will explain the features and benefits of the aircon you are buying. he will also explain the trunking and will give you option to upgrade or not. the sales rep was good, his name is andy ng (marina square).
  3. just make sure to read the appointment letter HDB sent you, bring all the documents needed according to the letter, bring that appointment letter, your checkbook or nets/ATM card (in case you need to top up/pay for downpayment, HPS, 3months SCC, etc.), $8 cash for fire insurance.
  4. I also went to gain city. here's what I was told: 1. more expensive because you will buy 2 condensers. 2. more expensive to maintain than sys 3 or 4 3. trunking would be done separately for sys 3, and for the +1 I bought Toshiba sys 3 (2 x 9000BTU and 1 x 16000BTU)
  5. I got the same specifications for Toshiba (2x 9BTU for MBR/BR1 and 1 x 12BTU for living room), GC salesman was good in explaining why Toshiba is good. I also upgraded the copper wire, took the 5 year warranty and 2 year service
  6. Are you saying I just have to go and pay ECTC the haulage fee then they will take care of it?
  7. I also sent an email to ORC.
  8. Hey I am interested in engaging him, who else? Maybe we could schedule it together and get it at $10 per hinge as well (I don't speak Hokkien) so anyone?
  9. i am planning to adjust the level by 3/4 when i move in, not sure if this is possible. I will ask my contractor soon.
  10. Hey what happen to our banner?
  11. One of the ID I spoke to gave me this: 15% downpayment upon confirmation 40% progressive payment upon commencement of work and arrival of building materials 40% progressive pmt upon completion of masonry/ceiling/paint works 5% final payment upon completion
  12. hey sorry huh, can u tell me about jalan mebina?
  13. COOL! That means my unit is now worth $450k - $500k. Good investment huh!
  14. I am sorry, didn't know ID's contact number needs permission to be given out. I thought ID would appreciate that his number is being passed around for referrals. Never mind, just forget I ask.
  15. hey, do you mind giving out the contact number of Eric Lim. I am also trying to select good contractor. thanks in advance.
  16. ok noted with thanks, i actually cancelled the installation for the meantime, coz the ID i spoke to (not sure if I'm getting him tho') said that i should have my kitchen design first and know the position of my cooking range before i ask city gas to install the heater.
  17. Finally got my keys today...(I have mistakenly posted this as new post and it became new topic out of Bedok Central Community). My wife and I went straight to our unit and checked. There was one chipped tile in the kitchen and the pipe connecting to the toilet bowl in the common toilet is not connected. I immediately reported to BSC and within 1 hour the pipe was fixed. But BSC scheduled to fix the chipped tile on Monday afternoon. I also saw a sticker on the wall of the kitchen that says - free water heater from City Gas. I immediately called City Gas but unfortunately the promotion is over. Anyway, I decided to go ahead for the installation of water heater ($168 cost of unit + $100 for the additional piping coz I want it installed at the service area). Cheers!
  18. Finally got my keys today, still choosing ID.
  19. Hi effie, nice banner, would it be possible for you to make another banner or probably the same banner but says A resident of Linear Green @ Bedok Central?....
