My friend is suggesting to build a sliding glass door for the kitchen, so that we can close the door while cooking. We cook about 2-3 times per week but it will be daily when mum stays with us, the cooking is mostly flames and wok. My thought is sliding door might not be necessary as there is a chimney hood. Any idea? Thanks

What are the pro and cons of having build-in wardrobe cabinet in your bedroom vs buying ready made one from let say ikea? What i can see is build-in one is more sturdy, could look nicer. Any other?

I planning on the following computer, scv and phone wiring for a 4room resale flat. I intend to use one of the room as home office. Your comments and suggestions pls: * I will have one Singtel land line number, which will have one point at the hall near the TV console and one point in the study room. For the point in the study room, the phone point will connect to a phone and a multi function printer for fax purpose. For the phone point in the hall, there will be a phone connected and this line will also be the SingTel broadband line, I will connect a wifi modem/router/hub to the phone point in the hall. * I will lay 3 RJ45 cables from the wifi modem/router/hub in the hall to the study room. This will allow 2PCs in the study to connect to broadband at great wired speed. One cable is spare. My PS3 will be below the TV console and will connect to the hub wired. In future, network device such as MIO TV and AppleTV will connect to * The SCV point will be together with the SingTel point near the TV console. This will be for cable TV programmes only. * Notebooks in the other rooms will connect to broadband using wifi.
