You should plan what you are going to put inside. If there is going to be very heavy stuff, better get a steel frame - but question is, why would you have such a heavy stuff in the store room - how are you going to get it out? Otherwise, Ikea's wood is good and, yes, visually better.

I have a differnt problem. I have a high ceiling living room, and I will be mounting my 40 or 42 inch TV on the wall. Question - Besides using wall paper, any suggestion for other decor idea for the wall because the 40 inch TV looks small on a long high wall. I thought of putting a rectangular painting or object on the wall above the LCD TV - but it will look odd.

Prefer Leather sofa - Easier to maintain, and if the design and leather are good, it looks more elegant and expensive. Fabric sofa, a real torture just to take it out for wash, and worse putting it back. I have a ceiling fan and aircon in the living room, but most of the time, I turn on the ceiling fan. My leather sofa still looks news after 3 years coz my part-time maid wipe it once every month with leather cream.
