So quiet now a days...

Hi all, Recently, I found ants building nest behind my wooden skirting in my bedroom. Trace of ants coming from the kitchen window to the kitchen and toilet window to my bedroom. Paste the ant baits all over my house, but it seems like they will just change route.. Headache..

I think she is taking care on a 2 years old boy. Same loh... I cannot stand them... some hollows, I step to many times, it sink until i can feel the height different between 2 piece of parquet. Hai.. Regretted!!! MJ, MJ!!! When???

Congratz!! How many months liao... U still want to MJ, not good for baby leh.. haha. my neighbour is a nanny. next to my house. Mine also same problem, the contractor wanted to redo my parquet (3rd time)but all my build in and furnitures are in. I also lazy to move. dunno how now. SBK: extinguisher?? I think the DIY shop at JP sell the portable one. I dunno how much. But tot of it.. that portable one not enough to save big fire loh.

Same thickness, but better quality than HDB's. My husband planning to buy one extinguisher for home, but small one la.. haven buy. Me!!! Anytime. Sms me la.. SBK, did HDB follow up with ur parquet?

Mine is both.. I do until sian liao. for more than 1 year with the same problem. Toilet floor no. dunno maybe the tiles i choosed are thick.

Ok. I think I am getting the dish tray soon. From the 1st day I moved into my house. I nv used the dish tray loh.. Waste my kitchen space. I still have problem with my master bedroom parquet floor loh.. Now i actually gave up on all the defects. hahaha..

Recently I just moved into my new house (less than 2 months). I have ants over my house. 1st, ants go through the paper box and bite the plastic of a packet of new unopened honey corn flakes. 2nd, my documents in my bedroom wardrobe (which there is neither food nor sweet stuff inside the drawer) are full of ants. (Don’t know why they are there.) 3rd, last Friday... A packet of unopened sugar, they bite through the plastic and attack the sugar. This time round there are hundreds of them. I sticked them with scott tape after I clear, another batch of ants come out from a hole on the silicon which link to the back of my kitchen cabinet. (So scare that they will build a nest behind my cabinet) And I started taping them again.. I bought the ant powder yesterday night and left some at the corner of the floor and kitchen top, but the ants seem very intelligent, they will bypass the powder. With these, I start tracing them… 1. I saw ants coming in / out from a corner of kitchen cabinet. (They bite 1 hole on the silicon). 2. Then I saw ants crawling in and out of a corner of cement in between 2 tiles. I don’t know whether their nest is there a not. 3. Another source from outside the window. They crawl into the house and along the side of the floor tiles and wall tiles. This morning wake up, still have alot of on the kitchen top, which there is no food on it. I am amazed that ants bite everything and anything like plastic bags, silicon and cement. Can anyone help me with this.

Hey friends, I am facing problems with my house de stainless steel. My Frankie sink, dish tray and even the shower head rods which HDB change 3 times rust.. I am so sian, move in less than 2 months, see this condition.. hai.. Is there any ways I can do to save the sink and shower rods?? I think I am going to change the dish tray. ** ckoonyin, heard from wxb that you bought the duck/hen brand for your dish tray, msn / PM me how much you bought leh.. I think I am getting that ba..

Hai.. Mine long story la.. I redo all the toilet floor/ wall tiles, living room tiles, Master bed room parquet (now still got defect - sink). Ya. ur ROM same as my friend's also. which is the same date. When I sleep at my right side, i will see the toilet loh. But everyday I sleep, I will close the toilet door. My floor plan different from all of u ma. so u cannot ask me.

Haha.. Housewarming soon. Got to finish with HDB's backlog 1st. All my furnitures, curtains, electricals are in.. Or another MJ at my place this weekend? I redo the whole house's tiles and master bedroom parquet. becos of too much defects of the tiles , at the end I request HDB to redo the tiles. Mine is very long story.. I got my keys end of June, 2008. until now still got HDB defects.. hai.. **DLIM.. u nv msn/skype me loh.. haha..

Anytime, now all my things are done, except HDB backlog... My bedrooms doors, etc.. Dunno what is taking them so long.. Now my master bedroom parquet sink again, about 3 areas.. after I moved in for a month only loh. So sian.

I think is the extension of the MRT station. If i nv remember wrongly, MRT going to extend further. Very noise.

How to get the compensation?

He told me that this area alot of foreigner stealing bicycles, shoes, and there is a rape earlier.. this time run, stealing of ladies under garment.. he told me to go to the dumpling event to gather and there will be talk on the neighbourhood security. a while later i saw 2 polices there. Note, pls don't leave ur things at ur corridor

Hi Nainy, Welcome to our neighbourhood. if i am not wrong Lee is BXX HXXX's boss. (is the superior) Who I met last time to complain. He is very rude, very very rude. HDB told u that they took 1 month to finish the touch up.. I took more than 9 months till now. I still have things KIV till now haven finish by HDB. I can't wait and I started my reno on 1 April, within 3 days carpenter work up. Less than a month for renovation work. BTW, My house almost done liao.. hehe. so happy that everything almost over. Now HDB own me a bedroom door.. and some touch up. almost 10 months liao.. hai.. long way..

Happy Niu Year to all!! =) I had already complain to the HDB officer liao. She is quite helpful la. The problems lie with the low cost, poor quality of the workmanship and materials. Contractors usually earn very little for Tender jobs, end up they have to re-do and top-up more for the poor quality jobs (For Owners like me la, so calculative. ). Sinking : --> Doorstep - becos of uneven leveling --> Those sinks are those which are hollows and when we concentrate our force at a spot, it separated the piece from the other parquet pieces (Sink). Before CNY, the parquet contractor went up to my house and touch up the floor. Those hollows, they drill holes and inject cement. Outcome = drill holes all over the floor like chicken pox marks, some drill work crack the parquet pieces. (Very Ugly) The doorstep uneven area is still there. Hai.. My husband came back from oversea after ½ year see these problems, I sian, he also sian.

There is 1 weekend I was at my house when i can hear the block on my left KTV, hours later the block on my right also KTV. They know that I am alone cleaning my house, too quiet, that is y sing is it.. hai.. dunno y they nv kena sore throat, can sign until 7, 8pm loh.. Now I know they not even sign during weekend and PH also weekdays.. But I am bad too. I was at my house for MJ during the new year, that dog keep barking day and night. I also MJ in my living room with window open until 4am.. haha.. so bad of me. luckily u guys nv call police. Mine worse, sat clean the living room tiles, sunday come back, open window, die.. dusty again. 1 update, HDB handover the key to me before christmas, (tot very happy). I moved in my stuff on the 27 Dec, while cleaning my master bedroom window, my parquet sink.. then sunday, my husband sink 3 areas.. so we check on the parquet. End up, the condition is worse than the 1st time we had it. This room is the one which HDB hack and redo the parquet but end up more jia lat. hai... Dunno how HDB control the quality of their contractor. I dun dare to check all my tiles again. I scare hollow again, I more heart pain. Can't imaging I got the keys for more than 1/2 year. still haven settle all the problem.. Dunno whether did I break the record.. haha..

Any photos of the work done by ah keong? He is consider a contractor, not ID right. Currently, I have ideal of what I want, but I am poor in colour combinations. Will he give suggestion?

Merry Christmas to all.. I am so busy moving my things and cleaning.. Tired.. The water heater, end up I get the storage type. wait to see the bill loh..

Can I check with u guys, individual water heater is better or the centralise one? I tot of using the centralise one but my mom told me that the electricity consumption is high for this one. I know that the centralise one will be install at the common toilet and the piping are all link.. I dunno how it work for the individual one, will i need to run extra piping on each individual water heater? The one i had in my current home is individual.. cold water pipe runs to a tap, then to the water heater, out comes the warm water to the shower head.. I am not sure how this "hidden" pipping works with individual water heater? Another issue, anyone got any carpenter to recommend. I need it for my kitchen cabinet. the one i have, quoted me 6k for my small tiny kitchen.. hai.. =s I think it is too ex liao.. Please advise. Thanks.
