Can Own A Second New Hdb Flat?
eipsy replied to eipsy's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
how to explain these two clause: 1.Second-Timer applicants You or the essential family members listed in your application have owned/sold or are currently owners of : any HDB flat that was bought from HDB; or any resale flat that was bought under the CPF Housing Grant Scheme; or a DBSS flat or an EC bought from the developer; or have enjoyed other forms of housing subsidy (for example, enjoyed benefits under the Selective En bloc Redevelopment Scheme, privatisation of HUDC estate etc). 2.Ownership / Interest in Property You, your spouse, any occupiers listed in the Application Form or their spouses must not own or dispose any other flat, house, building or land* or have an estate or interest at any time within 30 months before the date of application, or between the date of the application and the date of taking possession of the DBSS flat. how to apply and becom second-timer applicant when i still staying at my current flat.. do i hav to sell current flat and wait 30mths before i can apply or buy another flat? which means homeless for more than 30+mths or even more years becoz DBSS need another 3-4years to built after selection.. pls advice.. confused?????? or any1 can giv example of currently owning a new flat n will change flat after 5years.. buying new HDB flat or DBSS but can still stay at current flat n complete the selling n buying around the same time.. best is buying 2nd flat complete first n after reno n shifted then sell the 1st flat.. CAN?? -

We gonna stick with original HDB layout...My kitchen is going to be that way, sink and hob on opposite sides...I did not have any fengshui consultation...but we just made sure that the sink and hob dun face each other directly lor... Coz my parents' house is a learning lesson to us... My dad shifted the sink point to another location...few years down, the pipes got choked due to the grease and my dad had to drill 2 holes thru' the cement 'ledge' to get to the pipes... Today, the holes are still exposed (it's a 15 yr old flat now) and it still gets choked every now and then and my dad just stuff the holes with cloth so that it is easier for us to remove the grease... But for those tinking of relocating the sink, you can still go ahead.... Just make sure the contractor do it properly, taking into consideration the gradient of the pipes and get them to allow about two outlets (which can be opened and sealed) for you to access to any chokes (just to be on the safe side).... I guess my dad did not know then and he also used a really bad contractor then... ;P

Hi all Sorry, been missing in action...we have decided our choice of ID, Aasion Design (a relatively unknown company coz they have not even opened for business) This company was engaged by my sis-in-law to do their E-flat and their price quite competitive as compared to the other companies who quoted us... Being on budget, we selected them and reno will only start after 7th month... On to the main topic.... Anybody interested in joining the new linear green residents' committee (RC)? Actualli, both my hubby and I are members of the youth executive committee (YEC) at KG Chai Chee CC. We are invited to sit in a meeting this fri to discuss on the new RC at Linear Green... If any of you are interested in joining the RC, drop me a msg I m not sure if my hubby and I want to join the RC though...our hands are tied with work, kid and YEC activities oredi...mabbe if many of you joining, we will consider joining too PS: being RC member is quite a thankless job actually...have to organise activities for residents, sell tickets for events, attend CC meetings etc...but one good perk is that you will get to know a lot of residents, grassroots leaders, widen your social circle...I tink there is one great attractive perk too...free HDB parking in your estate (I tink for office-bearer, you may get free parking in the entire East Coast GRC) there might be more benefits but I m not too sure coz my hubby and I never utilise those benefits

Hi all, I just met up with a reno contractor at my hse yesterday, I showed him the metal gate and asked if it was a concern... he told me actually, even if you dun weld it, it cannot be taken off if your metal gate is locked. To remove the joints/ the gate door, the gate has to be opened first in order for the gate door to be lifted up and removed. So...if robbers have opened the gate, there's no need for them to remove the gate from its hinges... He says a lot of pple are being 'conned' to weld their gates by the welding contractor.. Is the reno contractor correct? what do you all think?

I need some opinions and comments to help me in my decision whether I want to include these 'extras' before 'bargaining' with the IDs... going to decide my choice of ID soon... wkyong - you have a PM

Hi guys, I thought the main door should automatically stay open with the 'door closer' attachment on the top of the door on the side of the hinge? My hubby says it should stay open once you open it up fully...our door did not,so I submitted that 'defect' in my defects'list. Last weekend I checked, a couple of my defects not rectified, stickers not tore away (I labelled all my defects with bright orange stickers) and the main door still not 'rectified'. Can anyone confirm if the main door should stay open once it's fully opened?

Snow bell, wkyong, spidey, mozath - Welcome DSA, darbleu - yah. the windows are frosted and looked very ugly...like not frosted properly...not smooth and got scratches...I did not report it in my defect list though..I thought it can be torn off but come to think of it, it looked and felt permanently fixed...
