With 90% loan, i've done a simple projection with the calculator on HDB website and the sum comes up to about $1.5k. And this sum will be matched almost to my monthly contribution to CPF, very tight. Plus renovation.... Seems like I'm going to be a slave very soon......very bad feeling having a loan on the shoulder cacky, I'm also looking into mortgage insurance in case something goes wrong instead of striking rich. With all these constraints, I have started to moonlight recently. Still not sure this is the right thing to do as it is very uncomfortable to get into this situation.

Got out of it when the current govt came into power a year later, with a gain of ~130%. Although impressive, I've lost quite a bit of sleep over that period, not for faint-hearted. So i've decided to buy Peacock Dragon fund to balance it with the red hot China and put the rest to Land of Thousand Smiles to bring more peace. For China play, I prefer to participate through direct trading of stable & good quality H shares such as China Life Insurance, ICBC & CNOOC. Personally, I feel that Greater China & pure China funds are almost identical in composition, so you can't escape from the likes of PetroChina & China Mobile. Anyone still bullish on Taiwan?

Hi, just to share my brief encounter with them..... I've dropby Red Dot's sales booth in Singapore Expo recently (last day of the exhibition) for a free consultation. They really turned me off with the standard hardsell tactics commonly seen in timeshare programs. Maybe I'm too sensitive after attending so many rounds of timeshare, MLM & insurance pressure selling. The moment I notice the commonality when the manager comes in and 'persuade' me to sign on the spot, the session ended. wonder if any other ID out there do this too? want to avoid if possible
