Hi gkbt, I'm very new to this water filter, water ionizer and all the facts are making me see stars after reading the 8 pages. Basically I just shifted into a few flat since Feb and recently the fb grp member of my hdb project posted the colour of his filter (changed at 3 mths) and I'm very alarmed its brown, like rust. My concern is how much of the brown substance (is it rust?) my 1 yr old son has drank I didn't expect our water quality to be such and on hindsight we fixed a faucet that can spray as well as normal flow so its got a big head and it seems like those fixed on tap is not suitable for me (unless we change the faucet). My friend was telling me she uses the one from KEMP but its got a unit on the table top, I would like to get a simple filter to rid the brown stuff (ionized water is a plus but not a must) may I have your recommendation plse? Hi Mr Chong, We visited a FS master to pick an auspicious date for our wedding and he gave us a few dates then my future MIL said 29 Nov 09 is better for my HTH, so we went ahead to book our dinner on this date. Coincidently I went to pray Tai sui and the was chitchatting with the person in charge there, then I mentioned my wedding will be on 29 Nov 09, he looked at the Tong Shu and asked if I went to a Thai master, so out of curiousity i checked at the online Tong shu and apparently this date is not suitable for wedding. We have already paid a deposit for our wedding dinner, is it really a bad date for us? PLse help..I'm kinda getting worried and I don't know what to do Can I PM you our details? Thanks much!

Thanks Mr Chong for answering my questions. For our case, we are buying new flat.. so call there is no surrounding for us to see or feel. Was trying to know what is the good direction for us so we can select the best unit available for us. I went to a website, input our bazi and they churned out a Eight House (Ba Yun / Zhai Yun)..then I saw that my bf and my good position all opposite..so also very confused which to use. In this case does it mean we need to find a master to calculate for us?

HI Mr Chong, I read that the Main door & Master bedroom door of the house should be in the favourable position of the husband and the Kitchen door position for the wife. But some website also state that the Main door and MBR door should favour the breadwinner of the house..does it mean if the wife earns more then this 2 location should favour the wife? If the wife earns more but the husband contribute more to the expenses of the house then the 2 location follow husband? Also some refer the direction of the door facing..some refer to the location of the door based on the reading from the centre of the house. Which one should we look at? Sorry abit confused by this, we are choosing flat soon..hope to clarify this portion before we select our house. Thanks!!!

Hihi.. can share how to go about with the sale w/o agent? I'm afraid doing it wrongly.. I'm considering buying the unit beside my parents..think it would be good if we can settle it ourselves cos ultimately the agent didn't need to help us source for the house mah..so hope to save the 2%/1%..haa Also how do you guys negotiate the price? Offer them a fixed price or offer them a fix amount of COV? Where to get the house valutated? Sorry so many qns..TIA!

I looked at the link..but very general guide nia, never say when first intstalment will commence. From what applefreak says..really heng or suay get what officer..if can "cham siong" anot, right. That means cannot so fast 'release' full amount of OA investment back to CPF ... got to 'keep' some for 'just in case' scenario..lucky mine was divided to a few investments..too bad for SO..whatever he has now gotta go right back into CPF then HDB liao

hmm..if both Yang Guo & zc31 are new flats then HDB like no standard procedures.. don't know how now, browse through HDB website but found no info on this..

Hi, Just like to know after we book the house, we will need to pay 10% downpayment using CPF. After that when will HDB start deducting the monthly instalment from our CPF? Immediately or after the flat is built and keys collected? Need to know so that we can plan if we should use up our CPF and get the minimum loan or save a portion for 'just in case' scenario. Cos if HDB only start deducting after key collected, there is still at least 2 yrs for us to accumulate the 'just in case' funds. Thanks in advance!

Hi Mr Chong, This is my first time visiting this forum, need your help on some matters. My BF and I plan to get married next year 2009, that day we heard from my future-mother in law say that she heard next yr is not a good yr to get married, hence why 2 cousins of my bf is getting married this year when we probed her more she say she also not sure if its true, just hear from the aunties. Can I check if it is true? if not, we are looking at end of 2009 around Sept onwards for our ROM + Wedding dinner. Are there any good weekend dates suitable for us? P/s: We are also getting a place in Sengkang, is it a good area for us? What is the good door direction in general for us? So I can keep a lookout for this direction when choosing our new flat.
