Your house is a 3 storey unit? If you haven't got a air con quote, let me know... I introduce my godsister's husband to you... He's giving me a very good price for my air con... Quite a bit... My entire kitchen will be demolished... Both the toilets too will be completely gone too...

I guess this one differs from officer to officer. My officer had her calender in front of her that states her appointments. She was free on both the dates so she made an indication on it. But she said that this is just a tentative date. Confirmation will be sent out about 10 days to the tentative date. My wife consistently checks the HDB website so we got to know it about 2 weeks before the tentative date. I can understand your anxiety. Relax. If your documents are in order and there's no delay with the bank side, you should be able to get the date you want, perhaps plus 1 or 2 days.

You can constantly check 'myHDB" webpage on the HDB website... Logon through Singpass about 2 - 3 weeks before the 10th of Oct...

At the 1st appointment, both the buyer and seller will be there. The officer didn't ask you about your choice completion date? We wanted the earliest completion date which is 4 weeks but ours was a bank loan so it would take at least 5 weeks. We didn't need to be there for the 2nd appointment so the seller just decided to put it on the 16th to his convenience. Note that the confirmed date may differ up to a week. If nothing goes wrong, most likely the choice date would be given. The samething happened when I sold my place. We wanted to drag it to the maximum of 8 weeks but the buyer requested to move in earlier at 6 weeks. We met in the middle and decided on 7 weeks completion. The officer then calculated and said the date would be either on the 8th and 9th of Sept. Eventually the confirmed date was on the 8th as there was no delay met during the completion process.

You are only doing a small area? So your flooring is something like mixed? Or this is for your balcony or platform?

We chose the Mahmut range and the promotion comes with the free rubber base which inhibits sound... The extire package is about $4k as we are only doing the rooms... Yours?

We were eyeing Kronotex for some time already... We signed with them at some show in Expo recently... Got special price so just take it... Also saw Supreme but their designs are not what we were looking for...

Finally the contractors has begin their hacking... Went downstairs to just let my future neighbours know that we are doing some hacking works for these few days... Opposite my house is a Malay family and a Chinese family staying below us... This is also an opportunity for us to meet them... The itinerary is as follows : 1) The hacking will take about 2 days or so according to the contractor... 2) The wet works will take about 2 weeks... 3) Then he'll do the plastering of the walls and our air con man will lay the pipings... 4) The Kronotex people will appear and lay the flooring in all bedrooms... 5) The window grilles and the masonary works will begin... Everything will be completed in about 5 weeks... Will post my pre-renovated house look when I'm get off work...

Only about 1 few more weeks to go... Then hoh seh liao...

30 samples? I only took like 16 pieces max... Will be going down to Hafary again this saturday as my wife suddenly got idea... We are putting some mosaics on the WC wall... At first only planning to put for the MBR toilet but she wants it also for the common toilet... I don't want to put the same mosaics so going to choose another design... Ate sweet potato for the weekend ah? How big you guys played? Too bad everything a bit rushed or else I would have taken some pictures of the tiles... Just got an update from the owner that he hasn't finished clearing his house... Was rather sian because he was suppose to vacate the house 2 weekends ago... Our renovations are slated to start this wed and he assured us that the house will be vacated by tomorrow... We are keeping our fingers and toes crossed... Will pick up the keys from him tomorrow night after work... Was thinking that can do some more planning before the renovations as we really didn't spend much time looking around... Our viewings are always very rushed... Furthermore the viewings then are always in the evenings so we didn't have the opportunity to see the house in daylight... If everything goes well, we'll be able to take some pictures in daylight before our contractor "tears" the house apart...

I was late also lah... Took quite a few samples back but haven't really decided anything yet... Decide liao will post pics... You chosen yours or like me bring back 1 whole lot of samples? So mahjong got win not?
