Think the joint line for the quartz top seems acceptable. ID did point out pros & cons of using granite/quartz top compared to solid top. It will be nice after the balcony has a roof - more privacy & safer for your kids.

Oh so quartz will still have faint mark, will have to xtra nice to my exp worktop then . Mine will be 3 pieces - 2 pieces for the L-wet kitchen & the other for the dry kitchen but can only see joint at L-kitchen cos the wet & dry separated by fridge. Will check px & let u know but currently for now quartz def more exp than granite tho' quality same. I also doubt the worktop can be brot into the lift and I will be staying at the highest floor (#25) so we really pity those poor workers

Hi Forkie i will be using quartz top for kitchen too cos ID juz informed no stock for White Pearl for the Indian Granite. Hopefully the outcome will be as nice as yours cos got to top up abit. I juz dun like bellus solid top cos heard scary story about it.

Haha, so that i have backup mah Glad to hear that after sales service is good. So far Lynn has been responsive and maybe we are quite open to ideas (aka chin chye - credit to ourselves haha), no big issues with working with her.

Then i am lucky cos my resale came with the recess and we decided to change the main door position to cover the whole recess so that more privacy and bigger area for my son to run away.

Hi Merryman me and hb too excited liao, we confirmed tiles and lightings very early. But no harm for u to take a look for some references. However, to be frank hor, Italu does not carry alot of collections and their price is expensive tho' their service is superb. I regret for not doing enuff research on this. I think you can go Lightings.com.sg @ 515 Balestier Road and i know forkie bot his lights there, cheaper and nice lights there. U can visit their website to take a look 1st.

Simple & nice. Ya, if u dun cook alot, get hob with 2 burners will do lah. My current home got 3 burners but 1 is redundant.

Hi Merryman no worries on their workmanship. So far we are very satisfied with the workers' speed & attitude. Personally i like the electrician team the best as these 4 大汉are full of smile. But overall no complaint about her teams of workers except the painters are a bit slow lor. To add, other forumers using Ideal House will sure agree with me on their workmanship, esp Mitlancer.

We bot our lights with our ID - so that she can count the numbers of downlights & fluroscent tubes needed. But in the end we still mis-count but cant blame her, we keep changing our designs . Think she is very patient wif us till date. As my ID has good relationship with the shop (Italu Collection) she brot us to buy the lights, she will settle with Italu the balance to be delivered then we juz pay $$$. So not so mah huan for us. Yes, u r right when the sheet peel off, the chute is a plain stainless steel piece of thing.

When i told Lynn i want pink or purple rubbish chute, Lynn laughed at me. She told me every chute comes with a removable sheet, so choosing colour not necessary as the sheet will peel off eventually one.

Oh the black tiles - ya my favourite but exp and that's why cant ask for more. My ID always told me dun overdo lah if not will not be nice liao . Actually i din know can shift the position of the chute but i like the current position now .

That 'doctor bed' of yours customed made? People usually did this at they bay windows but u did it differently and look nice.
