The last pc of 3D Master bathroom: I love the flora tiles, the black feature tile is exp - $16/pc and we were not given a sample so i took a pic last Sat when we were finalising our tiles selection.

Parent's room: 8ft wardrobe to be constructed. Study room: 8ft wardrobe will be constructed, ordered study table wif 3 low book cabinets from solos. Master bedrm: Initial plan was to contruct 9ft wardrobe wif 4ft TV console. After looking at the actual area, this might not workable or the wall is not flushed on the bedhead side, meaning after putting our bed, there might not be enuff walking space. My ID will workout something for us. Very sad, i like this layout very much

Common bathrm: Feel that the 1st 3D drawing too plain. Decided not to us stripes tiles in the bathroom as presented in the 2nd pic. Final decision is to use a combination of white & brown flora wif plain white tiles as seen in the 3rd drawing.

Kitchen: Initially the wall tiles selected is white wif 3D effect. However, decided to use glossy white stripes with brown glossy stripes tiles for added feature. The same floor tiles will be used in the common bathroom. Hi cannotisit hee, me oso super sleepy. Had a few sleepless nite b4 key collection due to some prob caused by HDB but glad its over now. Hi merryman we have cultivated the habit of watching TV in our room since young and i love the comfort of lying in our bed watching our fav prog . Ya, when i told my parents tat will be your room, they seem to be disappointed. However, i feel its a rt choice since my mum has to visit the washrm few times at nite. Hi Pinklady i was still contemplating whether to keep existing tiles to save reno costs but glad that i had made the decision to hack everything. On a closer look their tiles are not tat well maintained afterall. Hi blue_diamond ironically, my 1st home was @ TPY. I stayed with my parents & grandparents @ Lor 1 TPY after i was borned. When i grew up, I did not like TPY then. However, after getting married and frequent travelling to TPY make me love the plc very much. Like the fact that Orchard Road is juz 3 stations away from TPY and this make shopping so convenient .

Next, 3D drawings presented to us. We want simple & nice designs so there is no wow effect but we still find the 3D drawings very nice & hope that everything will turn up as nice. The most headache prob is there is no storeroom in the house. While many people do not like the idea of storeroom, we love the storage place to hide unsightly stuff for a more clutter-free look. This is the 3D on the store cum shoe cabinet at the recess: Love the laminate suggested by our ID. Will be using the 30 x 60 slate tiles. To match the rustic looking laminate, the tiles chosen are rustic looking too. Sorry will take better pic when the floor tiles are laid. After ID saw the actual plc last nite, she is worried about the walking space and we will juz make do wif a shoe cabinet here and construct the storage cabinet elsewhere. The living room & dining area: A L-box & feature wall will be constructed in the living. We have decided to shift the storage cum display cabinet to the dining area & to contruct a light holder for cove lightings. The tiles selected for the living are non-stained 60 x 60 homo. A strip of mosiac will be added near the doorway.

The bedrooms. Master: The current place where our sellers place their bedhead. Their 13ft huge wardrobe. The miserable 2 window panels in the room. Bedroom 2 (opp Master): Will use it as study rm/future kid's room Bedroom3: The room for my parents, ignore the study table there. The sellers did not clear some of their belongings including their smelly slippers . Initially our plan is to let my parents occupy the longer bedroom 2. ID suggested bedroom 3 instead as the distance between their bed & the TV will be shorter and the elderly need not strain their eyes too much.

Hi Cannotisit Thanks. Actually my new place is @ Toa Payoh not Tampines. But i agree Tampines is interesting with ikea, giant etc. i think they are constructing a overhead bridge, wow envy those who live opp ikea can go shopping very often.

Hi Reiki thanks. I din mention my bil, his wife & his little princess due to be born in Sep are staying 1 storey above my inlaws? Ya, the whole ging gang are living very near to one another. Our family will be closer and i am looking forward to the HO day to come. Oh, I have read up your wire management tips. It sure will be useful when we are doing our wiring for the applicances etc.

Hi Rasp, ya agree, i love TPY too. Will be keeping the wrought iron gate. Very much wanted to erect a wall & shift the main door out but my reno bg already burst. So after u purchase the recess, will u be shifting the main door? Tat wld be nice cos mean your internal will be bigger.

Ya, the purchase part not so smooth, hopefully the reno will have minimal hipcups and i know there is such thing as best renovation without any probs. We are the 3rd owners of this flat. Our sellers, being the 2nd owners, had already shifted the entrance of the kitchen to face windows of the living and the common bathrm's door is inside the kitchen instead of the dining. There is a full height windows fixed at the cozy area. The best part is they have already bought the recess area. Our style is Simple and modern with black, white & brown as the colours theme. Our sellers prefer striking colours and they have painted bright colours in the house. We decided to do a full renovation but will keep the windows, main gate and the fire-rated main door. Our ID's proposal:

Had always wanted to start a t-blog after confirming our ID, however, decided to start after we have got our keys. Yes, finally we got the precious set of keys yesterday! After near 3 years of ferrying my little darling from my current home @ AMK to my inlaws' @ TPY, we decided to call it quit. The distance between AMK & TPY may not be far esp when my hb drives, however, the fact that drive us crazy is I am on shift work and knock off 10pm almost daily. In the long run, it is not healthy for my son who goes to bed at 11pm. He is turning 3 years old and his playgroup starts at 9am daily. So finally we have found a place juz opp my inlaws. Why 3 generations? Hee, my parents will be moving in with us. I like this idea of killing many birds with 1 stone. My mum is alone at night when my father works permanently night shift and i am worried for her as she is not pink in health. The 2nd advantage the grand parents will take turn to look after my precious one. Last but not least no more travelling between Woodlands (where my parents used to stay), AMK & TPY . Hi skyblue Ya, we all have our parents from their generation and juz to let u know when my parents come over to stay with me in my new flat (due for completion 2 days later, yeah finally!), my dearest mum is moving her old antique sewing machine over. Yes, its those type used in the olden days - with leg pedal and manual operation type hor. Anyway, shall not mention the touchy part again, sigh for u and myself!!! Ya, u mention about the stopper, do post the details when u have got it. Same sentiments, we are getting blinds for 3 bedrooms. Hi Kelvin can ask your agent for help? For my case, its the other way round. My buyers are represented by her own lawyer so for the 2nd appt she need not be present. Anyway, we are still asked to bring a set of key to HDB to complete the transaction. In any way, whenever we need to clarify/ask something from the buyer, we always use our agent as our middleman.
