Oh, marble. We will be using granite for our vanity top & kitchen. Hopefully will turn out nice nice too. We need not hack the wall next to the door cos the door + frame made up the original doorway. But we need to build a wall next to the new door entrance. Will show pics when finally done up but another round of waiting haha.

Hi Forkie ya, Lynn super stressed. Everytime she will emphasize that she is trying to rush for us. She told us the norm is at least 6 weeks but she will try to make it move-in condition less table top, some minor carpentry. But looking at the phase they are quite fast, last nite when we went flooring for kitchen, both bathrooms and frige, WM & kitchen cabinet base done.

Hee, if u see the grey mosiac tiles, i am sure u will like it cos i find they match your grey tiles better. Ya, can imagine why ur reno cost so high but i really like ur balcony - not even a 5 rm flat comes with that. I am sure ur house will be transformed very nicely. Ur wife has an unique way of arranging the wall tiles in the master bathroom and i muz say i like it. Mine reno is not going to be cheap either & usually major overhaul comes with a high price tag. Juz hope that its really value for money.

Day 5 (Thu, 2 Jul): Hollow blocks for bathrooms extension done up: Cement screeding done for both bathrooms & kitchen:

How much ur total reno going to be, i guess muz be in the >$40k region. I muz be cork-eye but i chose the latest mosiac (metallic grey) (or got smoked by the SA acutally not latest design ) that juz arrived as suggested by my ID.

Day 3 (Tue, 30 Jun): The bedrooms & most importantly the wall for bathroom extension was hacked! The whole was in war zone with debris, hacked cabinets & sand all over the place.

Hi Forkie we will be so broke after this episode and saving up takes yearrrrrs. Ya, ur big balcony, i heartpain for u $5k but if money well spent is still worth it. The mosiac really make the wall more outstanding and where did u choose ur tiles, i never see these at Hafary leh. My hb dun like mosiac but i insist having 1 or 2 strips in the living to welcome guests

Hi Forkie my turn to visit your t-blog. Your place is huge and envy your big balcony. Ya agree that HDB is 'smart' to build a store room to 'eat up' space in the bedroom ?! I cant see your reno pics in the office but i do remember your diamond tiles ur ID suggested. Very posh looking woh! Cant wait to see more pics too, i love looking at nice reno pics . Hi Forkie ya it is definitely a plus point to stay near the elderly esp when u have young ones at home. We have long decided the theme: simple clean cut and to use 3 base colours - black, white & brown (or earth) tones for our new house even b4 we bot 1 . However, dun know will be boring or not. I am interested to see your transformation too. BTW, ur 4 room is huge compared to the newly built ones which are only 90sqm. Hacking completed on Tues, when i went back to see, they have done the cement screeding on the wall and floor of kitchen & both bathrooms. Cant wait to see the tiling done too. Thanks for the compliment, I like the tiles selection too. Luckily my hb leave them to me to decide cos he cant visualise haha!!!
