Hi guys, need some opinions on lightings in my hdb EA flat. I ordered online for the followings: 1) I am 3 x 12W LED downlights for my study room. Is it be too bright? was choosing between cool white and white. 2) 2 x 36W rectangle panel lights (white) for Kitchen - was thinking if 2 x 24W would be sufficient instead. 3) 18W square panel lights (white) each for service yard and bomb shelter. 4) 12W square panel lights (white) for each toilet. 5) 4 x 12W downlights (cool-white) for dining area, 12 x 12W downlights (cool-white) for living room. are the above an overkill with too much lights / too bright? Thanks.

First time buying resale flat and very inexperience. Will like to seek advice on what to check/ look out for etc during flat viewing. Will it be ok to open up the cabinets / drawers in the flats to see the interior condition. Also is it ok to try flushing the toilet, turn on the tap to check on the water pipe. Thanks in advance for any advice.

as above, anyone heard or experience it before?

Hi, i remember reading previously that someone went to paste a 3M hook and after removing it, the paint came off as well. cant find the post though. but i'm facing similar issue. like to check with u guys are all ur paints easily peel off or something?? how to solve this as i think it shouldn't be this way? Also, if i try to wipe my wall, it is bound to become a stain / patchy. btw, mine is a new flat. -

Are Electircal Wiring Suppose To Have Platic Tubing?

Hi all, I have started my reno and have decided not to install window grill as I feel that it will have a lock-in feeling. My parents prefer that window grills be installed though. from my understanding, grills are installed to prevent thief from climbing through the windows are in the case whereby there're children in the house (for safety puspose). am i right to say that? I have no children in the house and i am staying on the 12th floor. is window grill really necessary?

Hi Guys, My ID is doing some electrical wiring for my place and i notice that other than the trunking that covers the wire. there are no other plastic tubing. is this normal? Cos i see some of the units near my place undergoing reno and their electrical wiring, they have some sort of flexible plastic tubing covering the wires.

Sofa From Warehouse Normally Comes With Or Without Warranty?
star77 replied to star77's topic in Home Furnishings
for brandless ones, i understand. I went to branded warehouse sales recently and was told 'no warranty' including 'made to order' pieces. so wondering if this is a normal or the usual practise from them. -
Hi, Will like to know if there is a difference between wall mounting and putting the display panel on the console. I am intending to have a feature wall for my tv and my concerns are as per below. 1) For wall mount, is it very hard to reach the cable points behind the tv? 2) Is the space behind the wall mount tv enough for the heat to be effectively disperse? 3) If I need to send my TV for repair, will it be very hard to take the tv down? 4) If Ii were to change my dvd players etc, will it be very hard to reach for the points behind the tv? If I do not wall mount, I assume there is no point to spend money on a feature wall right? Thanks in advance
