Existing False Ceiling - Can Rewire Without Tear Down?
hihihi replied to kuay5's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
probably your next obstacle will be finding pple who are willing to take on the job. quite a tricky job. -
my neighbour had a ceiling fan. Strangely when I go into his house, I don't notice his ceiling fan that much. Ceiling fan is very powerful and has wide coverage. Standing fan is more hassle to clean IMO. If u say ceiling fan is O-Biang, standing fan can also be quite O-Biang looking too. Tower fan is definitely a NONO, no wind at all..

difficult to explain. Room one u have to change the whole nob. When u go and buy a new one, u can also ask that person how to change.

Toilet Frameless Tempered Glass Swing Door Shattered
hihihi replied to dometour's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
is the door branded or brandless by ID? -
4. Internet bill 5. Radio/TV license 6. Newspaper if any 7. Property tax

agree on aves point on many contractor using ID in their name but churn out tasteless design. You got to see their existing projects to judge. If no existing project = fishy. regarding your ID suggestin doing L-box to conceal the aircon piping. I don't agree with this. In desending order: 1) Aircon unit 2) Trunking 3) Condenser The aircon unit needs to be the highest placed item otherwise the water will not flow down by gravity. Doing boxup means either the L-box must be big OR the aircon unit must be almost like touching the ceiling. Do take note of this.

"lock N Lock" Or Komax Air Tight Container, Which Is Better Buy?
hihihi replied to jpcc's topic in Home Furnishings
Lock&Lock has a series called "Air" or something. After u close the lid, press down on the lid to expel the air thru a airlock. That one I tried, not good, air leaks into the container pretty fast, like within half day in outside condition. Komax they have Bio series which is supposedly more hygene. Inhibit germ growth. But dry food should be fine. -

Scientific approach, let's look at Thermal emissivity coefficient: Copper heated and covered with thick oxide layer 0.78 Copper Polished 0.023 - 0.052 Stainless Steel, weathered 0.85 Stainless Steel, polished 0.075 Stainless Steel, type 301 0.54 - 0.63 (The higher the number means it lose heat faster. Means that your pipe that is carrying your hot water is become cold faster) Stainless steel and copper has quite close thermal emissivity, therefore in terms of the pipe losing heat and waste energy, there's no significant impact. Furthermore, if u paint your pipe, it will increase the insulation property. But this rate of heat lost will not significant cause a visible change in your energy bill.

my aircon contractor mentioned that till now only ME has come out with procedure to change from R22 to R410A. I took it with a pinch of salt. As the deadline draws closer, surely the other brands will also start to come out with similar procedures. Even not, the aircon service pple will know of a way, either proper or non-proper. Was thinking of buying a tank of R22 and keep it in storeroom as backup

Elmark. Cost abt $80/each, bought 2. Haven't started using, and I'm those who prefer lukewarm to cold water, so I see no point in buying expensive 707 brand. If it spoils, trash it. Water pressure u can also check outside your house that water gauge. Open to fullest.

seen a showroom, is half height glass, top still got a little wall left. Meaning: from feet level to about thigh is wall, then glass, then near to ceiling, left still a little bit of wall. Do full height abit overkill look. Coz surrounding are cement wall, then suddenly a glass wall, the transistion abit harsh. Do half height is pretty nice classy look, with sandblast is nicer. Construction wise, need to leave abit of wall to hold and support the glass better. Of coz u can do a frameless one is not impossible. e.g those office kind of look.

Personally I would prefer SS pipes. Copper pipe will oxidise (to green colour) over time unless u paint it. Many sayings, but it boils down to preference. Nowadays SS pipes will still rust a little coz they're low grade SS pipes. Either u want Copper in your water or Iron in your water. Either way is fine. Difficult to bent, yes, but at most u will do 90deg bents, so don't believe those stories of bent until break... nobody will do 180deg bents..

aircon of coz runs on the beam, not below the beam. The contractor must be out of his mind or trying to cut a big piece of flesh off tfujiwara8, or totally inexperienced. I suggest u get other pple to do your aircon. As long as the unit it higher than the trunking, the water will flow. Water flow from high to low, remember? I'm 200% sure there is more than enough space clearance between unit and ceiling.

I would choose position A. Reason: Pple come in, sitting at the sofa, or walking towards the entrance direction will then see the mirror and also see the 'depth' amplification effect of the mirror. Purpose accomplished. Also with the mirror at position A, will help to reflect some light and makes the living room brighter (if it's already dark). That wall is short, mirror can covers the whole length of wall, a sense of 'complete". Position B not good Reason: That wall is super long. Mirror cannot cover the whole wall, somehow leaves it hanging there. Then the mirror will look very lonely, very out of place. Also, when u walk out of the room's passage way, and see the mirror, will be abit disorientated. Not good.

No matter how fast it dries, heat + water + Oxygen is a perfect condition for rusting. Nowadays those racks are often made of lower quality grade stainless steel or just coated with chrome. I would probably try lacquering the dish rack to stop the rust.

wow, KDK so powerful meh? or the wall not solid? Taiwan and China some buildings have walls that are hollow, filled with plastic bottles, corruption cut corners.

if i'm a thief, I would come thru the window. Dunno if u guys watched the news. Recently someone's house got broken into, the thief use a cutter to cut the aluminum window grills and took away his safe. Can imagine how easy it is to do that. Alunimum grills are so soft and easy to cut.
