Yap. The pipes will be painted. As propsed by ID, toilet will be using black & beige wall tiles. For shower area, we'll be using the black wall tiles. As for the washing and toilet bowl area, we r using the beige wall tiles. However. the initial mosiac choosen does not really match the beige tiles. Hence, we will only stick to use the below mosiac for shower area since it does not have problem to match black tiles. So we need to choose another suitable mosiac to match the beige tiles. In order to blend in the overall colour of the toilet, I chose black glittering mosiac as above. But sad to say, hubby n ID chose the below mosiac. I'm just worried if its funny to hav so many colours in the toilet... Black wall tiles + silver glitter mosiac, Beige wall tiles + Purplish mosiac + white toilet bowl + 2ft Black Granite Vanity Top... But finally, I leave it to them to decide lah... hehehe...

Great! Just a follow-up from previous update on the tiling work:- Sis-in-law 's room tiling work has been completed today. Fast. On the other hand, study room also start today... should be able to complete tom. Hubby said tt the circled orange tiles seems to be out-of-colour as compared to the rest. The orange colour looks milky and blur than the rest. He tried to wipe off, thinking tt its may be due to the dust, but the colour remain unclear. Most probably, we will ask the tiler to replace tt tile. Shd be no problem to change rite??

Johnny from Ideal House is definitely a good choice. But I think he's really very bz.... cos both of us very kan cheong abt the renovation... then we keep asking him bits and pieces of information until he buay tahan my hubby and ask us to compile a list of questions. awhahaha... but we r really excited so we keep confirming wif him, by when we need to buy this, by when we need to confirm this ???? nt very sure if its normal for all couples to feel e same way... perhaps we r overly anxious abt our first hm... hehehe....

Hi Bun Bun, i knw ur meaning... but we will be having two different mosiac. those black tiles area will be running the glittering mosiac which is almost similar to the 3rd mosiac. But for those beige tiles, I feel tt its better to use black mosiac.... anyway, we will meet ID tmr. we will discuss wif him. Keep u update again!

My hubby went back to our place to take some photos again As mentioned, we feel tt the mosiac chosen for MBR toilet may not be a perfect match wif the tiles. Hence, ID went to chose some different tone of mosiac and leave it in our place. He told us tt he has chosen one type out of the samples tt he took from SBH. Hence, he told us to choose one out of the four as well to c if we have also chosen the same type. Anyway, we took some photos of the tiles with mosiac... Looks nice and class... Nice but not very outstanding Hubby said tt this is nice... but i think otherwise, slightly normal.. Hubby commented tt it look like seashell... unique but dun suit my taste Conclusion : Me vote for the lst mosiac, Hubby vote for 3rd mosiac... Any voters from u all????

Hi Bun Bun, I get wat u mean. But my wardrobe sides do not have space. On the left side of the wardrobe is the windows and its merely a 1/2' length for curtains. On the right side of the wardrobe, we hav our TV console.. so its nt possible to hav hooks on the wardrobe. But I'm thinking to buy hooks from Ikea and hook in the wardrobe cabinet... I cant find the hooks u mention in Baguana's T-Blog. Can you show me the pics? hehe

Wow... I really luv ur place... esp the MBR Toilet... btw, wat's the size of ur vanity? and ur kitchen cabinets are tinted glass or laminate only? My hubby luv yur study room. Hw much u paid for tt cushion rest area with the drawers? he wanted to do someting littat too...

Hubby spent abt 6hrs in the house to observe and "da shang" the tilers today. He also took some pics of those in progress tiling... The area without tiles are cement-ed in order to be the same level with the homogenous tiles. Becos we will be building an elevated platform at tt area... Tiling for the MBR toilet has already completed. However, ID told tilers to put mosaic into "on-hold" list becos after much consideration, the mosiac tt we have chose may nt be able to match the beige tiles. Anyway, hubby wld wan to choose new mosiac instead .... to be confirm again with ID. ID feedback tt the above orange tiles are insufficent to run 6 rows... SBH alrady out-of-stk for a long time and these tiles are found in another tile shop by hubby.... But ID feedback tt its still insufficient. So can only hav two rows running.... hai... sadz... not sure if it were turn out nice nice.. The worst news received by us is tt our hse may nt be able to complete within End/Jul.... guess wat, ID told us it will be delayed to End/Aug!!!! anyway, he will print the schedule for us next wk. very very sadz again... argh...

Hi BunBun, yeah yeah exactly. My dream is to hav a large wardrobe to showcase my clothes, accessories n bags... intially, ID quoted 8' wardrobe due to limited space. but i pester my hubby to squeeze some place out to increase additional 1' wardrobe. but then, the saddest part is I can only hav 9'ft wardrobe which SOMEMORE has to be shared with my partner... back to my own place, I almost have the whole wardrobe to myself... well, the only solution is to pass my clothes to frnz or throw away...

How I wish my MBR layout is same as yurs... at least ur toilet does not eat into the space of ur MBR... U can built walk-in-wardrobe or a large wardrobe unlike mine.. Agreed with Sooch tt this forum is helpful to many ppl.... me also selected my ID after reading this forum... soo, work hard n read hard in order to source a realiable ID/Contractor. All the best!!

Great!!! Hubby managed to take some photos again today... Tiling for the living room is in progress now... But we r wondering hw come they hav not finished the tiling for both toilets and is starting to work on the living room.. Is this correct procedure??? Hubby checked the floor tiling work. marvellous!!!! they really live up to their name.. good aligment, minimum grouting between tiles.. but cant comment much now, cos its only a small area... let's monitor... anyway, hubby always visited the dream hse after his wrk. shall post more pics again.

Hi Bun Bun, Yah.. some ID also proposed almost same L-shaped beside the windows. But hubby feel tt its funny cos the space is limited and tt most of the sunlight will be blocked by the wardrobe... anyway, finally we just do a normal 9' wardrobe....... actually, i wanted a 10' wardrobe... but limited space... actually, from initial view, the other bedrooms look bigger than the MBR... But anyway, thanks for ur proposal....
-
Hi cherry, thanks for ur compliment.. yeah, we almost change watever is left... but we keep the windows (remove the grilles) cos its still in a good condition.

Awaiting for ur new pics... we r in the same boat. Just started renovation also on 9Jun.. Hw's the progress of ur renovation???

Some further updates on my renovation progress. Tiler started to do tiling for MBR toilets... Great... Cant wait to see the end results.... Some pics taken by hubby. The black tiles are for shower area while the beige tiles are for basin and toilet bowl area. areas w/o tiles are meant for mosiac as per below:- Actually, was discussing with hubby last nite if the beige tiles is able to blend in well with the mosiac tt Johnny has chosen. But he assured us tt the result will turn out well. ok, trust him.shall wait for them to complete. took leave today. later gg to take a look at the tiling job with hubby.

Hi Silver, Wow... so good, managed to negotiate to reduce 4K.. Me n Hubby did not negotiate for the quotation at all.. We are afraid tt some ID firm will use inferior materials or provide minimum supervision if we really do hard core negotiation... Judging from ur pics, i think u hav also made the right choice to sign up wif Ideal Hse. But anway, we have also signed up with Ideal Hse but ID is Johnny, started renovation last week... excited too. I like your MBR toilet... I wld like to hav vanity in my toilet, but due to limited of space, that's out for me...

Hi, DSA, I think its better for u to ask for the contact of the ID that you want. I also got ID contact thru one of the fourmers here and requested for quotation before we signed with IDeal Hse. So which ID u r looking for? -

Hi all, Have also signed up wif Ideal hse.. ID is Johnny. already started renovation last week. very excited abt my dream hse... -
Hi Starscream, Sorry. wat i imagine from ID is a transparent glass panel which will be mounted on the half-height newly-built wall. this is add-on from previous, hence, we did request any 3D drawing from ID.

Just to add a few more pics... So fast, the open concept kitchen wall has already been screed. we touched it and wow its real smooth. To seperate the dining place and living place, a half height partition is being constructed. Will be slightly higher from the pics. ID proposed to place glass panel to create spacious feeling.... Really excited... hope to update more pics later.. Hi hoityhoity, thanks.. we hope to move in before Aug... so we asked ID to work on it... but he cant confirm now.. becos carpentory work might be delayed. haiiii.... wait n c hw ba... we also dun wan to stress them.. yup. the previous owner put the aircon compressor inside of the hse... at the balacony... its very ugly.. the min u open the main door, u can c the big n bulky thing. hw abt u??? already started renovation??? Hi BunBun, Yeah... my MBR n Bedroom3 have windows.. Y?

The whole project is proceeding further at a steady pace. We took some photos again... Wanted to take the pics of tiles. But the tiles are all consealed and piled up. Not so nice to open them up. So only managed to take a few. Whole hse will be using homogenous tiles. We top up additional $ in order to have the white tiles for all rooms n living room. But ID is kind enuff to offer a slight discounts.. hehehe. MBR Toilet wall tiles. Its actually black and beige. ID wanted to give a condo-like feeling. Not sure if it will turn out good.. initially, we wanted a black n white combination. But ID said its very common already... well, we accepted his proposal finally... This pic is taken tis afternoon.. Tiler already started to do tiling in MBR. But only managed to capture one side.. This is the common toilet tiles. Its similar to one of the forumers here. actually, its chosen by my sis-in-law. but after ID checked with SBH (Soon Bee Huat), the tiles are out-of-stock. Hence, we have to choose another type. But my hubby did not give up, he look high n low in s'pore for similar range. managed to find it in another tile shop. so we contacted ID to check with them if the tiles are sufficient. Tiles chosen is actually more expensive than wat we are suppose to choose. But again ID is really great to absorb the differentce in price . Thumbs UP! Mosiac to be use to seperate living room and kitchen tiles... FOC by ID as well.
