Ha ha ha......lucky me, I got it FOC. Thanks DSA but in fact you must thank me. I have given you a sideline to think about!!! Oops, forget to check scv cable and electrical cable. But scv cable **** troublesome to test leh!!!

My ID was with me for a while and found a few problems then got to rush off for another appointment. Most defects were found by the bright eyes of DSA!!
-
Here are some examples of my defects 1) Hairline cracks seen on the wall in living room (could be due to the painting work as well) 2) Chipped Floor Tiles seen in living room, bedroom 2 & 3 3) Top Window in Master Bedroom cannot be be closed properly 4) Bomb Shelter cannot be fully locked due to the alignment between the spikes on the door and the holes on the side 5) Unevenness and paintwork on the main door 6) Cap for the pipe to washing machine cannot be opened 7) Water leakage at the pipe hidden behind the door outside our home 8) Cement found on the wall outside the window of my Master Bedroom 9) Gap is too big for the skirting in our Master Bedroom It is always good to bring more than a pair of good eyes to check the defect. I have glad I have the bright eyes of DSA and Effie that day to help me with the checks. Thanks alot.

HI Archetype, Welcome To Everyone, I have just managed to get my defect list across to the HDB office below Blk 220A. Seems like they are very fast workers. Have promised me to rectify most of the items by next Monday so that I can start my reno next week. Apart from that, one thing to take away today is that DO NOT be alarm when you see "sand" like particles in your toilet bowl. These are actually to prevent mosquitoes from breeding. I actually learn this through the officer when I am doing my complain.
-
Yes, all comes with TV point and tel socket. including kitchen and bomb shelter
-
I need to rush out the fault list to HDB before 5pm tomorrow. So can we meet at 5.30pm? Have already send you an sms so you should know my handphone now. Will be leaving my contacts with lovelee as well. I will be offline soon thus send me an sms on the timings. If cannot, you guys just go ahead. I will go on sunday instead.

Which country are you in now???
-
I am thinking of the one which have the flame underneath the stove - RB2CG. RH998C looks good. But $1,631, ex leh!!
-
I think DSA is co-ordinating that as well. I am actually going down to SSC this weekend to see which model I like and will get back soon.

No need to shower cold water lah... just boil water from kettle then put that into a vat lor Jokes aside, actually, instant heater can cos even if there is pipings, it will be above the heater and is not likely to be a long piping but rather a short one. So not really noticable.
-
Just a reminder to get back to me if you are interested to come up to my flat tomorrow afternoon bet 2pm - 3pm. Registration closes at 5pm this evening.
-
Yes this is true. We booked our flats in 2005 and back then, property prices still not like now, sky rocket high. Furthermore, we have 30K grant, that's why so cheap. To be frank, my 5-room cost me only 300k (including floor and bedroom floor done up). Don't really know about gas but if you are using storage tank, all pipings are already conceal for you, all you have to do is just connect. If you are using instant heater, definately will see trunking, but can ask your designer to minimize the exposure for you.

Hi Yokoyoko, Thanks alot. Very helpful. Have print out the checklist in the blogspot to go to my house tomorrow to check for faults

Ha ha ha....just joking lah. Those cannot use dryer just hang dry lor...what to do!! You got kids as well???
-
Agree with you that hanging your clothes outdoor is prone to all sorts of things that will land on your clothes esp bird ****s. Will take your advice but still most likely to buy a dryer and for those clothes that cannot be placed in a dryer, I will ban my wife from wearing or even take the opportunity to ban her from buying Save $$$
-
That is not bamboo poles. That is fixed aluminum poles where you can hang your clothes inside the service yard but cannot put it out to the sun for the clothes to dry faster. To do three loads means that you will have to wait for one load to dry before you can even think of washing the second load because limited space on the poles to hang. Hanging it indoor is time consuming and especially on rainny days, you will not be able to finish washing the clothes on time. Therefore, for me, I see a need for dryer.
-
Shouldn't be a problem. Anyway, they will come and do the measurement and fix it for you. So don't think dimension will be a problem. To upload pictures, you can refer to previous threads where DSA and Yokoyoko had taught me how to do it

Ha ha ha....me and my wife vows that we will get a good mattress for this new house even if we have to spend our last cents!!! The current bed that we are sleeping on gives us backaches and we really hate it. Somemore, my baby always like to sleep with us so guess it is worth investing. Don't think will go to Courts cos they are well-known to be expensive. Will treat HN and BEST as my showroom and go to the neighbourhood one to get the best price!!! Anybody here interested in buying dryers and is keen on a bulk purchase???
-
Ha ha ha......me also waiting for sales from Serta, but that does not seem to happen, wait until neck long already I am also waiting for the sales of dryer cos badly need one since no more bamboo poles and also only got a weekend to wash 2 loads of adult clothes and 1 load of baby clothes. If wait to dry at home, cannot bring my wife and daugther out to shop shop, they will kill me!!! Current bedroom doors to me, quality acceptable lah. But personally don't really like the design Have to make do lor...what to do??? No $$$, so have to get HDB do the floor and bedroom door so that can pay through CPF mah!!! So don't like also have to accept.

I know can still continue reno during 7th month but cannot move during 7th month mah.....Got a business trip end of Sept and 2 weeks prior will be lots of preparation for the trip. Just found out also for this year, the first day of 7th month start on 1st Aug 2008 and end 30th Aug 2008. Initially wanted to move in before August so that can do house warming and my daughter's 1 year old birthday together. Looks like it is impossible now. So will have to target to move on 31st August that week. If not, will have to wait till October.

For bathroom curtain, you cannot fully cover it to the floor cos if curtain touch floor, very easily get algae on the below of the curtain. Therefore, no matter what, will splash a bit of water out when you are bathing. If you can bare with that then guess its fine. For me, I am doing shower screen in MBR basically because that will be the more commonly used toilet as of now and also more pretty mah As for the public toilet, as you know my wife, have already bought a hello kitty shower curtain already, so must use!!!

HI Eipsy, Document you need for the day of key collection:- 1) You and your spouse IC 2) Child Birth Cert 3) Your POSB Nets card (if you want to apply for the water, electricity and gas supply with PUB on the same day and would like to make your payment through GIRO) 4) Bank Account Book (Not sure whats the need as I did not get to use it but stated on the letter to bring, so just bring in case you need to use) On that day, just go to the second floor to buy your fire insurance first. Then go to the information counter on the first floor to get a queue number. After you meet the officer, you will be told by him/her to go to third floor to make payment for 3 months of Conservancy fee (Nets/Cash only). Then you go back to the officer to sign tons of documents before finally collecting your keys.
-
Yes. Congrates!!!! Take possession means take keys mah!!! Talking about that. Think I cannot move in before August cos there are still faults to be rectified by HDB like my chipped floor tiles, big gap in skirtings and a window that cannot close properly. Think by the time they rectify this, will be 1 mth later and my ID needs at least 6 weeks to complete. So don't think can finish before the lunar 7th month comes. Sianzzz

Sorry sorry. Mistake on my part. I got confused. What happen to my dad in 4-room is that if someone is getting out of the toilet, he is likely get knocked by someone who is trying to open the MBR door from outside. Very dangerous. That means toilet door is still swing inside. Not cannot do sliding door but must take into account that if you do it, it will not fully slide in, which leaves the openings to go into the toilet slightly smaller. Small size people, not a problem at all.
