The tiles not really white leh...Think more towards beige. For 4-rooms, looks (colour) is almost the same just that the layout might be abit different. Shower heads is provided for both MBR and public toilet regardless of 4 or 5 rooms. Yes, the toilet bowl is only 1 standard push. Yes, you will have to do your own shower screen or economically, you can choose to buy a suction pole and put shower curtain instead. That is what I will do for my public toilet. I am changing the MBR door cos it is likely that a person who is entering the MBR gets knocked by the person who is just exiting the bathroom as the door is swinging outwards. So I am changing that to either a byfold or PD doors (half slide half fold). My dad did that too cos this is just too dangerous. Another flaw with the design...signzzz Cacky, think you might have to reconsider the sliding door cos I have already checked, you will not be able to slide fully cos there isn't enough space in the toilet to do so. Whenever you do a sliding door, you got to have double the size of the door. Hi all, I will be at my new house from 2pm to 3pm this coming Sat to do all the inspections. If anyone is interested to come and have a look at an empty 5-room, feel free to do so. Would be great if you can reply by 5pm tomorrow as after that I would most probably be offline.

Simply in front of the door. With this, I have manage my first posting with pictures. Credits to DSA and yokoyoko. Thanks. You save me at least another hour.

I am 5-room. TV point and phone socket is both on the long wall. TV point is near the window and phone socket is in the middle of the hall.

Totally agree man!!! At first, when I am looking at my dad's house, I am laughing at him cos he suggested to have windows on the service yard. That is because I tot HDB will not approve that since it has already standadize all the windows to look the same and by approving it, people will start having fanciful looks on the service yard and this defit the purpose of standardizing the rest of the windows.
-
Hi Orange, it is wall tiles that I am referring. Floor tile is already provided. Hi Cacky, both kitchen wall and floor tile is already built in for you when you receive the flat.
-
Yeah, sianz...window not provided at the service yard. Got to spend $$$ to install cos no choice, got a very active daugther at home. Anyone out there is thinking of tiling up the entire service yard. I having headache cos my in-laws and my parents kept wanting me to tile up the whole service yard cos they think this place will going to be wet because washing machine is placed there and it would be easier to maintain than just a painted wall and my designer says not to waste $$$ on that cos not much diff one. Any inputs? Come to think of service yard. The design in 5 rooms really s***. The washing machine point is right in front of the door and chances is that we will accidently knocked onto the washing machine when we walk in. Haven't the designers of these flat take that into consideration??? Now I have to spend $$$ to repipe it to the end of the service yard

Hi Eipsy, welcome!!! Just got my keys yesterday. Cacky, will try to take a photo of my toilet if I go to my new house again. Most probably this weekend. To my surprise, for my 5-room flat, the tv point in the living room is on the long wall, not the short wall, so no need to lay wire Have manage to check every single tiles yesterday, no hollow but got 6 pieces that is chipped. Will be there to do a wiping on all the wall tiles to see if there is any hairline cracks this weekend cos no water yesterday and report all these faults to the office on Blk 220A. DSA: I love the Rinnai offer that you are showing, when do I have to confirm with you cos need to have my boss (wife) approval.

I think this should be enough for a start. Too many = headache Maybe your neighbour is my dad . Which floor did you get?

Hi Hihihi, You are not too late. I am also from SERS and is only getting keys tomorrow

After the announcement is made for the site to en-bloc, transaction will be freezed for a month (basically for the en-bloc owners have some time to understand the scheme and make a decision if they want to sell or not). After the one month period is over, normal transaction for buying/selling resume and this is allowed to go on for a year only before all sales is freezed for good. I personally don't think everyone would be thinking of selling their house cos the new venue is in a really good location and you are entitled to a 30K discount.
-
Actually both me and my parents got through SERS. I bought the enbloc house after the enbloc is announced in 2004. Had gone to U Home for enquiry before. Comments about them is that they are very efficient but lack creativity. The ID that I have contacted is Junior and I think in terms of customer service, I rate them quite highly.

I have actually went to 2 such exhibition in expo this year. Did not really find it helpful and from advise from lots of friends, do not sign up with any of the IDs in such roadshows. This methodology works exactly the same for wedding packages where they promise alot but deliver little. Think if you are going there, it would be best to go there with a "just for information" mentality. Hi everyone, I am back to the forum after missing for almost 4 days. These has been the craziest 4 days in my life cos I am helping my parents move house. Imagine, shifting from a 30 year old house to a completely new location plus a grandma who is constantly there to make sure that we do not throw her away things. Now that I have completed theirs, it will be my turn probably in 2 months time and I am not looking forward to it cos it is so tired!!!

Hi Orange, Just try writing in to HDB to ask for an extension in producing the ROM cert, it might works. I remember hearing from my friend that his friend produced the cert one year after getting the keys.

Not sure leh...but I do think you will be collecting your keys soon. You should pace your key collection time against Orange who is staying the same block as me and got the house through Jan balloting. Once Orange receive the letters means yours is not far out. I am using IntraDesign (just opposite our new flats) and the ID I engage is Angeline Low. Price wise, it is 25K without flooring and doors for rooms (cos I have opt for HDB to do that when I have selected my flats 2 years back).
-
Nope, I got the flat through SERS. I think you should be getting your keys quite soon as the SERS people have altreay gotten their keys for your block and some have already move in. Hi Effie, I am taking 5-room. Just saw on the HDB website that I am collecting keys on Jun 3rd and officially got the letter from HDB this afternoon. Very excited. Have already instantly inform my ID and they will be coming in the afternoon that day to have a look at the whole layout. Aiyah.....this sat will be busy for me cos my parents are moving in to Blk 220A next Monday and need help from me to do packing. Guess I can only join you guys next time..
-
Yeah, you can make use of the e-service in the website by selecting My HBD Page (Login using SPINS/Singpass)
-
Just visited the HDB website and saw that I am collecting keys on 3rd Jun.
-
I see....so I guess for me, to put a clock to cover it might be the best choice.
-
Yah....totally agree
-
What my dad did with the ventilation metal plate in the living room is to push it all the way in and the contractor of my dad actually use a plank to cover it up and paint it the same colour as the wall. In this way, it is totally concealed.
-
Thanks alot. Have seen the map. What you meant is that the blocks that are already facing away from the MRT is experiencing the loud noice. Gosh....then the rest of us who chose the 4 blocks that is facing the MRT directly is in for loud noises
-
Wuh, 219A collect keys already!!! Is 219A facing the MRT or facing the Fengshan food market? Can you elaborate more on the wrong placement of TV point & phone socket?
