Hi, any1 have experience with choke at wash basin? I found cement stuck in the piping, then bought a solution (some HCl acid) and dissolve most of it. But now water flow still very slow. Appreciate your sharing!

My Samsung LA40650A1M from SITEX @ $2499, $400 Robinson Voucher, 9.5 kg fridge, DVD Player, 1800W Vacuum cleaner, HTS. wall mounting. Think last day price is $2399 with same gifts. 3 yr warranty only.

I also concur with frederick that add 1 more point for overlapping is better, to reduce dark spots. My lighting shop boss recommend 4ft T8 which is cheap, bright but higher electrical consumption. 3ft is actually slightly more expensive than 4ft one. Alternatively choose power saving T5 which cost more. Anyway this is my Home Theater System up for grabs.

Bought my samsung 40" 40A650 from SITEX at $2499 with loads of free gifts. Really happy to get a good deal until i heard some got it at $2399. Its always hard to get the best deal although i did my research from retail shops, but did not think about last day bargain. Any1 interested to have a samsung 5.1 home theater system can get from me, i intend to let my free gift go at a low price as i dun need it. I must admit the final factor in choosing my TV is asthetics as i have already decided on the technical specifications. Full HD 1080p that can support my blu-ray, sufficient HDMI inputs and 100Hz frame rate for sports viewing (although i dun really think can differentiate). Hence picture quality and looks both are important.

Im also going to SITEX to hunt for LCD TV for the living rm. Looking at Samsung Series 6 40", the one with the red crystal design! Alternatives include Sharp A65 series, Sony S series. Initially thought Philips 54 series is nice but my wife dun like the plastic border look. Any other recommendations from any1?

I bought my lights from Noble lighting, they have showroom at Balestier and Paya Lebar. Boss Andrew is quite friendly and advise on the lights well. They have a wide range of choices and their hanging lights designs are quite class. Can see my blog for the hanging lights i bought. I saw this removal sale for SOHOME furniture at jurong east Tradehub 21, 50% for all display item. Saw the table i bought at 50% of the price i paid, sighz, sad. Do go and take a look, may get some good bargain.

Just like to share the recovery action for my hiccup #1 when tile is uneven between kitchen and dining rm, after the wall is hack. It seems that it will be very hard to match the uneven ground level, hence my ID propose to situate the difference in height at the edge where i will place my bar counter. In this case the uneven tile will be hidden. Recovery action for hiccup #2: My ID managed to arrange to buy a cooker hood extension from Tecno but i have to pay $107 for it. ($107 for a piece of thin metal, not worth!) Although ID insist it is not her fault and normally hood can have extension, im not fully convinced and not sure who is in the wrong. The diagram of the hood during my purchase showed 896mm and i think ID assume there will be extension and never plan it. But looking at the situation, 896mm will be too short for many HDB flats and does tat mean high ceiling flat cannot buy this model? I will email to tecno to ask for explanation. As for my chimney hood that is too short, the recovery action is: ID managed to arrange for purchase of extension from Tecno but i have to pay for it at $107 ($107 for a piece of thin metal i think its not worth it!) During purchase the hood diagram dimensions clearly shows 896mm only. I think My ID assume there usually will be extension and this is her mistake. What im not clear is that kitchen that need higher hood cannot buy this model of hood since it is so short? I will email Tecno for clarification. In the end ID offered to offset a bit of cost of kitchen solid surface top.

Anywhere i can buy chimney extensions? And what types are suitable to my tecno hood?

Guys, i just had my hippcup #2 for my reno and would like to seek advise. Hipcup #1 being the kitchen and living rm tile not aligned which i will post the recovery action shortly. My kitchen cabinets were just installed and my ID called my finacee to say that our chimney hood is not tall enough to reach the ceiling. My kitchen solid surface top is 89 cm from the floor and ID recommend 75 cm distance from kitchen top to hood so as to create better suction of vapour. my full height of hood is 89.6 cm and after installation there is still 20 cm height loband to the ceiling. I passed my ID the dimensions of the hood that we bought at a sale quite some time ago before she do her carpentry and she had no reason to not plan this in the drawing. I also realise most chimney hood are extendable in height and height varies from 900-1500mm. in my house case we need a height of 90+20=1100cm which most hood can support, but unluckily the 1 i bought at sale is too short. i feld she did not advise us properly on this maybe because i did not buy from her supplier. Any1 had previous similar experience to share? Thx =)

I visited Bubbly house quite sometime back and we were discussing about having no shelter from carpark to Blk 219C. It seems that some resident have raised the concerns to the relevant authorities and contruction of a sheltered walkway from the carpark lift to 219C had commenced! (At least it looks like sheltered walkway with roofting) This again shows that the more we resident should give constructive feedback (or u want call complain) to hope for better living conditions in LG with regards to the rodent situation. Anyway we paid such sky high prices for our dear place and deserve to have a nice abode to live in. ($400k over and got into a long and endless loan.....zzzz)

This is my system 4 aircon trunking in master bedroom. 2 points to note, My blower unit is placed above the window and the trunking have to be circle the window 1 round. It is not very nice. 2nd point is my ID put all the trunking below the beam and then plaster it up so that it looks like beam extended and no visble trunking.

This is the picture of my drain pipe in master bathroom toilet, but i cant remember was is installed by my aircon contractor or already provided by HDB.

Thx for all the feedbacks, it seems that this is a building construction inherent design and it is not the fault of my tiler. Then i wont jump on my ID and ask her to retile the living room liao. Now my solution is to hide the kerb at the edge of the bar counter so that it wont be seen. Reasonable solution without much hassel. Cheers!
