Actually wanted to start a T-Blog long ago but drag until now. Been trying to get new house from HDB balloting since last year but after 4 unsuccesful tries decided to go for a resale instead. Actually the process of looking at flats was quite enjoyable. Our agent who happens to be my buddy's sister brought us to see at least 20 different units within our criteria over a weekend, and after that weekend of looking at flats we saw one that we like and its just opposite my mother-in-law block in Jurong West. Its a unit that's 10mins walk to Jurong point and maybe only 5 mins walk to the new Pioneer MRT. Excercise our OTP at a COV of $18,888 in May and finally gotten our key in July. Here's the floorplan. Its a 5I type of flat. Went ID hunting after we signed our OTP in May. Basically went to a few that was recommended in the Forum. Finally settled with Bernard of Ideal House. Not going to touch on the rest of the IDs we went to since we did not engage them in the end. Bernard's quote was one of the better ones that we got and he's a really nice guy and is very practical with his suggestions. Our reno will cost around $40k in the end.

Hi, can user of this door do a feedback? I am looking at getting this door but my ID told me that there will be shadows that can be seen from outside. Is the shadow very obvious?

hmm... My fridge base is $100 and my ID did the Washer base for me FOC. Anyway I think a base would be good to have though not neccessary.

Hi all! I bought a resale flat and the house is undergoing renovation. Currently in the house is a LG system 5 that was left behind by the ex owner which I am going to keep. It has been used for around 5 years and I am thinking of servicing it once before moving in. Now I have a quote from my ID of $120 for chemical wash for each unit or $150 normal wash for 3 units. I have tried turning on the aircon and noticed one of the aircon in a room is actually dripping water and the others are not really very cold. Just few queries I have for those more experience people here: 1. Is it neccessary to do servicing to the aircon? If so should I do a chemical wash or just normal wash? 2. Is the price quoted to me reasonable? 3. Any servicing companies that you can recommend me?
