Finally we are getting our keys for our new home in an area that we are not too familiar with but hopefully will be great for us! We actually look for ID or Contractor only after getting our keys and after viewing our new home..so we kinda started our reno after a month from taking the keys.. So here is our floor plan..a typical 5-Room BTO... Both Hub and I like wood for our furnitures and we both love the wood grain feel so we decided that it should be the main focus in our home..Hub also dislike dark colours as he feel mosquito always hide in dark places haha...So we decided that there should be lots of white in our home...after thinking through which theme should we pick..we thought that Scandinavian is the way to go...which is very popular and common now..but I think as long as both of us love it, it doesnt matter if its too common We also have a rough idea on what we wanted for the house..nothing too complicated as my Hub is a super practical person..haha..so we decided to look for contractors instead of IDs. I know IDs will recommend really pretty and cool stuff for the house..but we are on really tight budget and we kinda know what we want thus we went ahead to look for quotations from contractors instead of IDs. We took 3 quotations and also making reference to some of our friend's quotations before deciding on the ONE!! (Pray hard it will be a good one)

Anyone has recommendations for a 56"-60" ceiling fans with lighting?

Hi Yelena, Today we met the curtain lady Ms. Evelyn. We found her quite good and knowledgeable. She brought several samples and met us in our unit. She suggested few options after taking into account our requirement, painting colors etc. After studying the lighting condition of the home, she suggested we go for curtains for our home. Our bedroom windows are bay type; blinds will invariably leak light; also we wanted to fix the blinds near the window which is not possible design wise. So we opted to do curtains for all rooms. From the samples she brought, we choose few colors and designs for the different rooms. We decided to go with her and placed the order. If you want, I can PM you her contact detail.

Ok i know nuts about storage heater. All i know is that the shower and taps are like the hotel type, come out hot and cold. Ive been living with instant water heaters my whole life so this is new to me. So far the brands ive gathered are Alpha, Joven, Ariston, Champ & Mistral. Should i get a 25l, 30l or 35l for a 4 room flat. Currently now living there will be just me and hubby, but maybe 2yrs dwn the road our parents might be staying with us. Dont know why but i feel that a square design is nicer to the eye, but if the round one serves more purpose that i dont mind. I went to their websites, but even when i read the specs i still do not know what to look out for. The most important is i want something that can last long, no problems, fast to heat up, easy to manage... Pls do recommend me and your opinions and reviews will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Did you ask why he thinks A not safe? Cos the gap is too big? You have children? I prefer C as well cos I feel asthetically it looks nicer and it serves the purpose of guarding in/out.

haha! To be frank, i'm absolutely clueless abt FS. Only hear a bit here n there from my FS-crazy mum. But i do find this topic very interesting and i've been also wondering if toilet door = 2nd door in room. At the end of the day, I also heard something like... 一命二运三风水... so probably 命 & 运 sometimes does supercede FS ba?
