Kitchen Sink I have questions on choosing sinks. There are so many patterns in the market and I need some advise from all the experience sifu out there. 1) Undermount or self rimming? I will be using solid surface so undermount will look nicer right? Will the contractor charge me more for undermount? Since I believe it is more expensive to mount. 2) Single bowl or double bowl? Single bowl looks simple and neat but double bowl can let me store my washed plates to let it dry. or 3) If double bowl, 50/50 or 70/30? I lean towards 70/30 cos 70 can have more space for washing and 30 for storing wet plates. or 4) I saw some sink with square corners which look pro but the prices are so much more than the round one. Any idea why? Any advantage or disadvantage of using those sinks? Any advise? :dunno:

Can't remember the guy's name but I recalled that they were professional, know their stuff and very frank. I posted my enquiry on iCompare and they replied and followed up. I will be following up with them soon. #IdealDesign: Have not spoken to them but found several good review on renotalk. #IdealHouse: My friend told me that there is a Mr K who is quite popular in reno forums. Does anyone have more info? It is a pain in the *** trying to search for info like that because many of the ID firms have similar names! #idEmboss: Spoke to an Elaine Chai at the Home Decor fair at Marina Square yesterday. Friendly lady. She told us that her firm is around the mid-range price but they do not compromise on quality. They do not have packages and so on because you have no idea what kind of material the package covers. I like that she is straightforward about it. But I can't find much info about this firm yet. We will be visiting their showrooms and have a detailed talk about the kind of designs and themes we prefer. But I would like to obtain more info about the quality, workmanship and reputation. Hi, anyone using WMF cutlery set or pans? Noted that they are having promotion at some places but dunno good or not. Wanted to get a cutlery set for my new home. Does anyone has any reliable direct contact for kitchen glass backsplash? My contractor did a terrible job for my glass backsplash.He didnt tell me the colour i chose will turn out completely different.n now it doesnt match my kitchen cabinets.such an eyesore.Now im looking to deal direct with glass company. Would love companies that actually has samples of colours as my contractor didnt show me any samples at all.so i do not know it will turn out diff. So sad.

I've a platform in my living room that I want to hack and perhaps just do an acid wash on the floor tiles underneath. Is it possible? Is there any recommendation for contractor who is willing to perform such a small job?

I came across before a plastic wooden door.. its as thick as wood but not heavy at all.. and best part, it is plastic and fully waterproof. Any one knows the name and where to get it so that my carpenter can use it to fabricate my cupboard? Thanks alot!

Hi guys Which is better for Island and high bar top table? IDs tell me solid surface better for bar top as looks better and easily formed into curvy shapes. But I know solid surface easily stained and scratched. Also anyone with any design idea for bar top and island in a hdb? My design is to transition from a low island kitchen top to a high bar top just outside the kitchen.

anyone using bosch ovens? just inquired today at harvey norman and they said bosch is actually better than brandt. bosch price is 749 the brandt is 799. also, i am keen on buying a built in oven as i am baking a lot but since i am just renting my flat i don't want to hack out anything. is it ok to just buy the oven cabinet? i think ikea is selling one and even mayer. but ikea can provide legs for the cabinet so it can stand on its own. thanks so much for the replies!
