Anyone knows if it is possible to engage a designer solely for designing the flat? I have contractor contacts with good discounts but they do not do designing. Also, what is the average cost of an ID's fees?

For those who stay in old flat got to have their compressor installed outside MBR mostly as we do not have service yard. Afraid that someone's Aircon will drip water, poodle of water gathering after rain and dirty things which may gather on the compressor after sometime. I have put anti slip mat on the compressor and hope it can resolve the issue. However the normal anti slip mat are those with holes kind and worry that dirt will gather and may still have sound if water drip on it. After finding for quite sometime I found a more suitable mat although not really that perfect, This mat is also easy to clean by just rinishing water on it and the dirt will drop off if you just use your finger to rub to the edge (*However it still have some holes like those anti slip mat which I hope will not trap too much dirt). Below are the pictures of the mat on the compressor & a close up of the mat.

Hi all, finally my bto is finally built and now is the time for curtain and stuffs i've went through the DIY production heXl with my mother-in-law house where all the fixture, curtain, furniture is sourced from ikea and made myself, a total dissaster is an understatement tolong a, mistakes made, frustrations and time wasted outweighted the saving i'm glad that DIY is not as necessary as it is in Australia/Norway, that we singaporean can afford to outsource these deco chores to the shop definitely do not wish to repeat that DIY things again in my life. I'm looking for saving in time and bad mood through outsourcing all the troubles to a professional curtain makers, at a reasonable price, thank you. Can you please recommend me some curtain provider/shop? Thanks a lot

At my previous place, I had one shower without door. Water splashing out can be kept to a minimum only if (a) the shower direction is not towards the opening, unless the opening is far away, and (b) whole body is standing within the glassed area. I looked at my glass door. At the place where it is hinged to another glass panel, there is a groove in the glass panel to hold the hinge. So depending on your design, it might not be possible to add the door later. Also, remember to contruct the kerb outside of the expected door position. But a drop is preferable, if possible. If there is water splashing out, a floor mat does not really help. The above is my experience.
