We moved in today!

Haha yeah I know. The black frames, the solid plank counter top, the craftstone wall..... the bills will be scary! But thats what mood pics are for. To paint the dream before the quotation brings me crashing down to reality. Haha. I'm sure we will find a way to make some of it happen though! ....Maybe i just won't have any furniture in the house.

Dont say illegal la, cannot anyhow say illegal one la, like that not goot one. We call this not up to standard, not illegal. Machiam the flooding in Orchard Road, flooding is wrong term, it is "ponding" or "flash flood". Point is how long the flood, not whether got flood no flood, so flood is ok, as long as only a while only.

I totally agree with Dialow. When I did my place 2 years back with my contractor, I realised she is more receptive to my ideas which I think ids may be more rigid. As she also provide me with some drawings after our discussion, it makes my decision making much easier. Recently my friend got her to quote. price quite reasonable. pm me if you want her contact for comparison.

Hi Takaishi, I think the workmanship will be good; they even have the option of boxing and filling (covering up extra areas that the modular cabinets don't fit into) so that it looks flushed to the walls. They even have the option of adding cover panels so that the cabinets can blend in to the color of the wall. =) I'm dying to put up pictures but I don't know why that function keeps hanging on my com!! :s

Would love to see how the green wall turns out.. I thought of doin one as well..

Hi, I guess nowadays a lot of contractors all under the IDs who act as the middleperson to give an overall package to customers. As for me, I had my own idea on how my new place will look like and partly to try saving some $$ so I source out my own contractor through "shopping" around my areas and by chance i met this current contractor who just finished the renovations work for one of my future neighbours! I look at the work and to make sure that he is reliable and good, I even met up with this neighbor and get comments from him! Haha.. In the end, I engage him and now happily undergoing the renovation..so far he has been very positive and good attitude. You need me to recommend, just Pm me. Good luck!
