Actually I agree every house owner to compare before sign the contract but you can't compare through contract. Because there r a lot of hidden cost. And I never go with package even though the prices r attractive. Because I experienced before. They never educate me well before I sign the contract. When the project start. Then the ID wan to me top up for everything. Example I need to top up for soft closing hinges and the compartment for all the cabinets and wardrobe. And the additional items they cost me 40% higher than the contract. And i cant even cancel the contract because of the 20% compensation of the contract. So don't gt yourself bound on the contract.

My advice is better go to ID company. Unless you hv time to coordinate your house when the reno start then you can go to contractor and the price is cheaper than ID. Or maybe you can consider contractor if just minimise work. Most of the ID company provide 1 stop service which r design your house and coordinate your house. Save a lot of time. But for the contractor they duno provide that kind of services. It's depends on what you wan. You wan hazel free or you wan something budget?

Strictly speaking, the gate installation is incorrect. As a security barrier, it fails. A security barrier should be flush with the side walls (not protruding out) and secured on all 4 sides. In this case, the bottom side is not secured, allowing a person with brute force to start prising open the gate from this side. However, it is common for gates these days to serve more as a deterrent device only and even for decorative purpose. It is common for the bottom latch not to be used. Often this is because the bottom is laid with marble or tiles, and the contractor does not want (or does not know how) to dig a hole to house the drop down bolt. In addition, the gate is not flush with the side walls, so there is no way to bolt the bottom side of the gate. I think if the gate looks ok, you can live with it. I think the only way to rectify it is to move it inwards, and this might be problematic.

Things are falling into place really nicely. Will be having my key collection + auspicious door opening ceremony + house feng shui audit + bazi reading + meeting with ID to do measurements all on the same day. *super happy!*

Need some ideas on pendent light ... sort of like a centrepiece over my kitchen island. I have been scouting on the net and found a few that suits the industrial theme (although mine is not the raw industrial style). The colour theme used for my kitchen are mainly grey, wood grains & stainless steel. The 3D rendering of how my kitchen should look like: option 1: option 2: option 3: feel free to comment and give me more ideas! appreciate that in advance
