1 pointHey...actually I used to think its extremely difficult to slimmed dowm....especially after I gained 20kg during my first pregnancy, had a c-section and find it impossible to exercise...after a lot of trial and error I managed to find out that what you eat is 80% of what you are... My slimming down regime includes a heavy healthy breakfast of fruits first...followed by oatmeal with milk or honey...that should be able to last me through lunchtime till maybe 2 or 3pm...then I munched some nuts and have a hot beverage...dinner had to be before 7.30pm...maybe a handful of rice or noodle with vegetable and soup. Additonal chicken or fish are ok as long as they are not fried... Did this for about 2 months and lost almost 4kg...not bad huh

1 pointAll of the following designs can be found on my blog: Inspiration ABOUT THIS THREAD While it may be titled "Living Room Inspiration", there are far more than just living room designs - you'll find inspiration for your bedroom and dining room as well. I started this thread some time ago as I was rather sick of the cookie-cutter designs that most interior designers in Singapore seem to offer their clients, and the little guidance they offer their clients in seeing the design concept from start, to end [i.e. furnishings]. You'll probably see that for most of my designs, the built-in components that I advocate are either kept to a minimum, or are designed to be visually non-obtrusive - that's because I believe that the quality of furniture tends to be better, and that they tend to define a room's purpose, hence they should be the key focal point of a room. Do feel free to ask for advice, be it on this thread, or on my blog. LOOKBOOKS THUS FAR Monochromatic Luxe (see below) Modern Pop Traditional Home Misc. 1 pointIn the past few years Vietnamese food has become more and more popular in Singapore. Food lovers may have tried the two best known Vietnamese dishes – spring rolls and bread rolls. Rice, noodles, fresh vegetable and herbs all play big roles in Vietnamese food, making it one of the healthiest cuisines in the world. In Vietnam you’ll discover one unmistakable fact: Vietnamese people love noodles. They eat them every day, sometimes for every meal. Vietnamese noodles are made from a few basic ingredients, the most common being rice, wheat and mung beans, but a whole sub-cuisine is built on these basics. Banh Mi Thit The Vietnamese equivalent of a “submarine” – a Vietnamese baguette. Very popular with Vietnamese, Singaporeans and Foriegners. Bo Kho Beef-and-vegetable stew beef, accompanied by baguettes or noodles. Very popular with Vietnamese, Singaporeans and Foriegners. Goi Cuon The famous Vietnamese “spring rolls”: shrimp with vege, rolled up in rice paper and served with a peanut dipping sauce. Very popular with Vietnamese, Singaporeans and Foriegners. Pho Pho is a Vietnamese noodle soup, usually served with beef (ph? bò) or chicken (ph? gà).The soup includes noodles made from rice and is often served with Vietnamese basil, mint leaves, lime, and bean sprouts. Very popular with Vietnamese, Singaporeans and Foriegners. Bánh xèo Vietnamese Pancake, made of rice flour, stuffed with pork, shirmp, bean sprouts. They are wrapped with mustard leaves and lettuce leaves, dipped in a sweet and sour diluted fish sauce. Popular with Vietnamese and Singaporeans. Bún bò Hu? Sliced tender beef shank with rice noodle. Popular dish with Vietnamese and Singaporeans. 1 pointMy unit is also 5 years old. I have already moved in last year. For singles, easy maintenance is critical. I like furniture with wheels too so I can move them around on my own since there is no one else to help out. I've delayed renovation for some time due to work and other commitment. Hope to start soon because I dislike staying in current condition. Still brainstorming what I would like to have for the renovation. After sometime, excitement died and stress kicked in. Ha Ha. I'm glad you had bought a 3 room resale instead. Personally I find that it is not worth the wait for a tiny 2 room flat in non mature area. Resale is good because it is immediate, and most importantly we get to choose the location we want.

1 pointI felt the same too, if it runs along the ceiling or along the flooring it shoudl be fine. Anyway, its been done, its also due to the weird layout. Anyway, for that space you could place some deco or some mini plants or pots for decoration too. Don get upset about it, see how to improve and make it better.

1 pointHi hojichalatte, Came by your t-blog and realised i might be a little too late to advise on the electrical. I was quoted much lesser or way way way much lesser than you and elin were quoted from Mr K. Could it be there is some special electrical wiring works to be done? As for the aircon trunking in the shower, it does not seems to make sense to have it so high up.

1 pointFor the cables, you can find those black tubing which you can lump them inside it to hide the messy cables. Have a split in the middle for placing the cables in. If i am not wrong its call : Flexible Split cables Loom or Cable Organizer (*Hope this helps)

1 pointHi all, We had just engaged Benny from 3D. Actually we initially wanted to go with another id but one of my friend recommended him to us. We went for a meet up at his showroom in sin ming. He seems to be a friendly and nice. He had even prepare some sketching before we sign to help us understand better. We were really impressed by him when he brought us to his own home to show us some of his ideas and worksmanship so we decided to sign with him. To be frank, pricing wise he isn't the cheapest neither the most expensive so still acceptable we guess. Anyway, our renovation will start in march so we'll update you guys again! Cheers! Thank you

1 pointAfter few weeks from our last discussion showing Roy the reference pictures, we finally had another appointment with him. He had spent the past few weeks digesting our ideas and designs, and came out with some rough sketches for us. This is where the interesting part begins as my wife is a fussy person who very particular with the details as she used to be a web designer. He patiently explained to us all the details and the reason behind all his ideas and designs, and also taking into account what we would like to have. Besides, he knew what was necessary and what was not, advised us based on his past experiences. This proved to us that we've found the correct person to do our renovation.
