kaihauashley 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2007 We bought our air con from Gain City (IMM) today. Toshiba System 3 non-inverter at $1699, inclusive of GST, delivery and installation.Initially wanted to get from All Best cos the price is the lowest but heard from forums that their installation and service is terrible. That's why we did not go to All Best, just to play safe.
hongss 3 Report post Posted August 9, 2007 Hi,im considering between these 2 models:1. MUX3B20VB/MS-B10VB - R410A2. MUX-20TV/MS-A10VD - R22Both are Mitshubishi sys3 non inverter. Which is better? What is the advantage of getting the R410A refrigerant?

meemohsah 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2007 i was told by a salesman that aircons using R22 gas will be phased out by 2016, and that you would need to change the whole aircon system by then, to use a system with R410 gas - is that true?

Not sure Hitachi, but heres what I gather last weekMy requirment, is using all 3 rooms together ( 2 X 9000 ) + ( 1 X 12000 )System 3 may not be able to cool all at 1 time.Starmex do not have single inverter. ( strange ? )Got some rough estimate ...InverterPanasonic ( 2+1 ) = 2039+1049 = 3088Mitsubishi ( 2+1 ) = 2099+929=3028 ( 1 = non inverter ) / (2+1) all non inv = 1679+929=2608Mitsubishi ( Sys3 ) = 2879 ( total BTU 28,000 ) Non InverterMitsubishi ( Sys3 ) = 2159 ( but total BTU only 20,000 ) means 776 or 866maybe cannot cool the roomEst not include conceal pipe & stainless steel bracket
mystique_j 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2007 I just paid a deposit for my aircon but we are still considering whether to take the LG ($1520) or Mitsubishi System 3 non-inverter ($1830)..I heard dat ME is quieter but salesman said its becoz of the fan speed. But fan speed slower means the condenser unit doesn't cool down so much..He actually recommended LG coz the EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio) is higher and provides higher BTU at 25k. (Recommended by NEA)ME is very popular but is it becoz of the brand or is it really very good? Initially we oso wanted to go for ME but now not sure..Anyone can advise? LG or ME?
