Hv just PM you my ID. Actually he's quite a nice guy and told us tat he has given us a very reasonable quote. He did mention tat bcoz we are doing quite a few big feature walls tat's why the quote went up. Is carpentry works really tat ex?

Oh, i only request for quotation frm 1 ID so i'm unsure if my quote is reasonable. I've got mixed comments from my friends so was hoping to get some more advice here. Was hoping to commence works before 7th mth

Carpentry is really ex but you need to see the quality of the materials used. Check on few completed projects and specify the quality you require. Document and get this signed off as proof.

I also asked my ID why he's charging me mere $60 for the patchwork. He told me coz he still has to pay the workers to do the patching so he needs to charge me. He also say coz the patchwork is to be done for the whole hse including the ceilings, living & dining area and MBR.

I decided to do up the whole hse including floorings coz i calculated if i take up their other promotion package for living rm & bedrm, it's more worth it than i chose to do the works individually like the feature walls, tv console n shoe cabinet as the cost differs. But there are also certain works which i do not require so i asked the ID if he can let me deduct out the cost for the items that i dun need and he said okie.

This is my final quotation. Anyone any advice? TIA greatly

I hv another query. Most of my friends told me if renovate whole hse for resale hse, usually the renovation cost will be +/- 30k. True? My initial budget is 23k. Seems impossible to me now

Hi Tittieal,

Do take some time to look at some completed projects(either new flat or resale flat, according to your flat type) of the ID you are thinking of engaging. Ask them if your quotations will include the same materials / same team of workers, that the "showflat" is renovated with. Sometimes the different teams' workmanship will vary! And also check how long the ID/project manager is willing to followup for you (few months?/weeks?/days) after completion/handover/final payment.

It's the best advice I can think of at the moment.
