today a contractor came to my place, told me to do the following which i would like to see advice on..

i intend to laminate my flooring with Robina laminates, which comes with waterproof layer and a foam padding layer below it. do i need to remove the current existing vinyl tiles? every laminate shop that i approached told me i can just overlay. is the contractor trying to squeeze more $ from me? :P

i intend to run my water pipes into my house near the top corner of my ceiling. my contractor said he can drill a hole through the beam so that the water pipe can go through it. is that safe? allowed by hdb?

if i buy my tiles direct from hafary or LSH, can i get any discount? or should i just let the contractor bring me to select tiles?

ossify, can I check with you, will you get a better price if you buy additional premium adapters since you bought quite a substantial package from eubiq? I'm thinking of getting some premium adapters but they cost $75 each retail!!! :o

if you just want to get off the shelf, you can get from homefix (sometimes they have 25% discount) but don't sell premium adaptors i think

i bought direct from eubiq at comex so it's a bit cheaper (about 30% discount)

Hi, yes Chip Bee Garden is opp Cold Storage. The Daily Scoop new outlet is there.

I brought my contractor to Hafary to get the tiles. I think he gets some discount.

Great! Don't have to go all the way to Sunset to eat it :P

Hmm if I go direct to Hafary, will I get the discount? :D

Yeah, that's the problem.. Homefix doesn't sell the premium adapters and it's too far to go all the way to their hq in joo koon again for just a couple of adapters.. Lemme know next time if you are getting more premium adapters, I might tag along in your purchase.. :)

Hmm I have never gone to their HQ before... and I don't think I will be buying more adapters.. already planned for more than enough :D

Actually I hope I won't need to buy more.. difficult to get the same kind of discount
