Is there a type of finish or protective layer apply to the cement?Would love to achieve this type of flooring.Also looking for a good contractor to do the flooring. I had my living, dining and 3 bedrooms flooring done in cement screed 8 years ago with stainless steel strips inlay for a minimalist look and feel. I waited 6 years to get all the cracks to settle and no more new crack appearing, then i applied 2 thick layers of clear lacquer to seal off all the cracks, it acts as waterproof layer too.
