Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request

Ya, pictures :)

Rewiring can cut down. PP of LP change same wall = relocate, if opposite wall = new pt.

Try not to make too much changes.

Curtain from Shanghai, must bring pleat sample to curtain maker.

Their material is okay, but workmanship, better give then sample.

Otherwise, it would be "没问题" but the result crumple stitches.

AFTER - Entrance

Repainted main door

Change main gate (CNS Metal) and main door lockset ($50). My carpenter installed door lock for me :D

Got the idea of putting wooden deck mat from Rondy...thanks.

Entrance-MainGateWPlants.jpg

Sigh - dirty wall outside house :bangwall: (hence painted it lily white) with my wireless doorbell

Entrance-WoodenMat.jpg

Bought this deck from IKEA at $29...usual $45

Entrance-Plants.jpg

This plant has been with me for 5 years....bought 1 plant but grew very well and I re-potted into these 8 pots...gave another 5 pots to my mum :P

This IKEA wooden rack was used to stack my kids toys for the past 10 years....

AFTER - Dining / Living Room

Entrance-Dining.jpg

DiningRoom.jpg

Repainted living room cupboard using Matt White Bordelac 9000 series as I was quoted $2500 to rebuilt it.

Changed all the door knobs as well...think it looks ok.

Houses shoes, kids games, etc etc...

Cellini dining set has also been with me for 8 years...Spray-painted the legs of dining chairs.

Also repainted the doors of all the recess cabinets below the windows - living/dining, study room and 2 other bedrooms.

Was quoted 5K just to rebuilt these cabinets :o

LivingRm-Sofa.jpg

Melandas sofa - rewrapped with IKEA blanket/throw

Melandas square coffee table

Both with me for 8 years

LivingRm-PianoTV.jpg

Cheery wood TV console....dated but still in good shape so decided to re-use

Changed drawer handles from IKEA.

AFTER - Curtains and curtain rods

The flower was attached using 'transparent' fishing thread to hide the IKEA curtain bracket.

Flower was bought in US. Got them in 6 different colours and used them throughout the bedrooms.

Width of curtain rod is 0.6 inches.

They are stainless steel water pipes, bought by my contractor. Whole house curtain rods cost me $50....learnt this from MaCe...thanks.

Whole house curtain rods were measured from wall-to-wall (due to layout).

Each in 1 single rod, unlike IKEA rod where it is not smooth at the extendable part.

IKEA is only aluminium coated and will rust over time due to pulling of curtain.

Curtains are also full-height (from ceiling to floor).

AFTER - Kitchen

Copied Macbart's idea of a galley kitchen.

No overtop cabinets, just glossy white drawerson the left and a tall cabinet (burgundy) on the right to have a streamlined look.

I added a mobile kitchen island on the right next to fridge for additional workspace.

Laminate - LAMITAK.

Backsplash - Aluminium composite panel from DAMA...got the idea from gimz...thanks.

Standard size 8 feet by 4 feet at $40 per panel. Free delivery. Many colours to choose from.

Bought 2 panels as my kitchen is 11 feet.

My carpenter installed FOC for me.

Requested for a cut at the appropriate length for the 2nd piece. Extra is in my storeroom.

Kitchen wall - cement screed, plaster and paint.

But I should have used Nippon Bordelac oil based shiny paint and not matt....like Jaskel did for Jeffcraze.

But can easily DIY re-print next time.

Kitchen-Drawers.jpg

Kitchen-TallCab.jpg

Kitchen-Island.jpg

Newly erected storeroom (torn down by ex-owner as it was prev located in the dining area) as I found kitchen too big and square.

AFTER - Kitchen Tall Cabinet...cont'd

I asked for wooden trays in my tall cabinet so I dont have to spend money to buy pull-out ss trays.

Kitchen-TallCabDrawers.jpg

AFTER - Service Balcony

Installed ss water pipes with IKEA curtain brackets as towel rods for my 2 kids and helper as there is no space in toilet to hang the towels due to layout :bangwall:

SerBal-TowelSSRods-1.jpg

Also asked my contractor to buy ss pipes for my clothes rod.

SerBal-ClothesSSRods-1.jpg

Did not box up pipes in service balcony.

AFTER - Kitchen Toilet

Went for a basic black-white toilet.

Shower screen $180

Shower tray is cut out from my solid kitchen top....learn this from fftw...thanks.

Stove - cut out into 2 pieces - used for toilet mirror

Sink - cut out into 2 pieces - used for shower tray at shower area.

KitToilet-Shower-1.jpg

KitToilet-Pipes-1.jpg

KitToilet-Sink-1.jpg

KitToilet-BowlSink-1.jpg

Stupid layout of bathroom forced the sink to be installed near toilet entrance. :bangwall:

Sink is same size as master toilet...should have gotton a smaller sink.
